Its location was stunning. We stayed on our way back from Flam to Bergen. The breakfast was great, staff very helpful and rooms were large with great quality hair and body soaps.

We had a double room but it wasn’t a double it was 2 single beds pushed together and 2 separate mattresses with wooden frame between the beds. The buffet dinner is only served until 8.15 pm.

We liked the remote location and it being a different experience. Loved the buffet dinner and traditional Norwegian breakfast! Staff was courteous. Loved the pool table for an after dinner activity!!

Wonderful hotel Anna did an amazing job helping me figure out kid-friendly hiking trails! Everyone had a great time.

The hotel is in a unique location, which is part of its appeal, but does make it difficult to get to when there are issues with the train, which happened with us. The breakfast and dinner were good, but dinner was a little expensive, although that is to be expected because of the remote location and it being the only option around. The hotel was a little dated and worn, and blackout curtains, or at least darker curtains, are needed during the long summer daylight hours. Staff was friendly and helpful and the room was clean and comfortable, except for the lack of darker curtains. The area surrounding the hotel is beautiful.
