Hampton Inn & Suites Newport/Middletown

We enjoyed our stay here. I thought my room came with a washer and dryer (Expedia wasn’t clear on this. I’ve had a washer and dryer in other Hampton Inns) Turns out there is a washer and dryer available on the 4th floor for hotel guests at a charge. Customer service at check in was ok. Not extremely welcoming but I’ve had much worse. Breakfast was fine. Had some solid options. We would stay here again. I’d just say it’s pretty basic and wasn’t overly impressed.

The hotel is clean, quaint and accommodating. We checked in and were immediately greeted by the front desk staff who was knowledgeable and nice. The rooms were clean and the housekeeping staff were on point. It is a very quiet hotel and great for sleeping. Best part....free coffee ( caf and decaf) 24/7!!! STAY HERE!

Our stay was mediocre. They never came to clean our room, we stayed Saturday to Tuesday and they said at check-in they come every other day and to expect them on Monday morning, we left at 9a, and got back around 5p. When I called they said that I had the do not disturb sign our, which is not true because my kids were fighting over who can bring it in that morning. Then they mentioned that housekeeping was gone for the day and sent up towels. With two young children, our garbages were more than overflowing and our dirty towel pile grew fairly large. The pool was almost always packed when we went down, right before bed, which I guess us the normal time for all families to go.

Staff are courteous and helpful.
