Hilton Garden Inn Victorville

Do not book here, room smells like an air tray and resembles a motel.

Run as fast as you can! Do not book this hotel. Hilton should be ashamed for putting anyone in this room 235, let alone a Hilton honors member. There were so many concerns, it's hard to begin. The lobby ,the front desk, and the front facade of the hotel appeared to be recently renovated with paint, stucco, carpet and furnishings, but after this, it was a dump starting with the elevator. The paneling in the elevator was cracked and missing at the bottom. After pushing the level, the elevator started making loud grinding noises and the ride up was not smooth. My husband, who used to install elevator systems was not confident in its ability to function safely. The room was a mess and looked liked it hadn't been used in years. The carpet was stained badly thru out, the furniture was old and worn. There were several dents, chips and carvings on the refrigerator, dresser and headboard. The mattress was old and very low to the ground. There was a gap between the headboard and the mattress as a result and the pillows , also poor quality kept falling into the gap. The wallpaper was not only marked up, but it was peeling off the wall, and rolling down in the corners. The most disgusting part of the room was the black out shade that appeared not to be used in years. It was difficult to pull close and would not unfold. When I was able to pull it some, it was so dirty as if it had not been touched in years. Upon looking at it, there were giant water stains everywhere, and then there were multiple areas of perforations through out. Also, this was the first time we had an electrical panel in the room next to the bed.To say this was a disappointment would be an understatement. It was certainly the worst experience we have ever had with any hotel we have booked. The cherry on top was learning that breakfast was not complimentary, and eggs and bacon was going to be 16.00. Hilton you can do better than this. This is beneath you.

The room was close to an outside door which was convenient when having to take my dog out.

There were no pastries, donuts, or bagels available. You could only eat if you ordered off the menu. There are times a person doesn't feel like a full meal.

I did not dine.

Hotel was undergoing a renovation.
