B&B Salerno IN Centro

The location is good for exploring Salerno and getting to the ports. That it is. We liked absolutely nothing else about this place.

We were booked to stay here for 3 nights. After the first night we checked out and paid for a hotel. We stayed in the junior suite with terrace as a family of four. This place is advertised as air conditioned. The upstairs area is not air conditioned at all and the heat was stifling for my children to try and sleep in up there. There was a portable fan that did nothing apart from blow around hot air around. The ceiling is very low up stairs which does not help. The bathroom tiles, window and one of the upstairs walls are covered in mould and you can smell this in the room. It’s a dark musty room with no air in it or natural daylight. The toilet and some walls in the bathroom are stained and the whole bathroom needs a deep clean. We booked as a family of four but were only provided with two towels. How are all four people supposed to shower? There is one tiny bin in the bathroom and nowhere else to put your waste. On the wall in the sleeping area downstairs is an emergency exit light- similar to what would light up in the UK for fire exits. This has been covered with cardboard and masking tape. On the first night we found out why when it randomly kept lighting up and flooding the room with light. The beds had some sort of plastic mattress protector on them. These are noisy and uncomfortable. We booked this as a bad and breakfast. No breakfast was provided or offered. We couldn’t get out of here fast enough - the photos of the room we stayed in are very misleading

The property was close distance to the beach, restaurant and shops.

Our stay was really disappointing. First of all, the property is nothing like the description. I would say this more like a hostel with private rooms. It is not a hotel / B&B at all. There are no staff, no breakfast and they do not clean your room during the stay. The TV didn’t work, there is no air conditioning on the mezzanine, there weren’t enough towels in our room and it was shockingly dirty - visible mould and grime all over the shower, poo on the walls next to the toilet. We got so many bites during our stay, which we can assume were bedbugs. I also had to shower at the beach as ours was not working and there was no one on site to support. There were constant noises and parties happening in the common area - really not appropriate for the nice family holiday we were hoping for.

Durante dos meses estuve mandando mensajes por booking para preguntar un cambio de hora de check-in y no me contestaron, DOS MESES. En los servicios que ofrece pone que tienen recepción 24 horas. Cuando llegamos no había nadie y nos resultó muy complicado contactar con ellos. Estuvimos esperándoles una hora en la calle para que nos guardaran las maletas (ya que en los servicios que ofrece pone que pueden guardarlas). Durante los 4 días completos que estuvimos allí en ningún momento vinieron a cambiarnos las toallas, ni a limpiar ni a nada. Escaleras llenas de óxido, colocamos ahí ropa que se nos manchó (no sabíamos que tenían óxido hasta que apoyamos la ropa) Lleno de mosquitos.

La ubicación del alojamiento es muy buena, está en pleno centro y nos atendieron con amabilidad por WhatsApp durante el check in y el primer día de la estancia.

Tuvimos problemas con la limpieza. Aunque nos dejaron unas sábanas limpias porque las anteriores estaban llenas de pelos, las toallas “nuevas” estaban manchadas de óxido, tenían huecos y algunas estaban sucias. Además, nos dijeron que vendrían a limpiar el baño, pero durante las 4 noches que estuvimos allí, nunca lo hicieron. Una lástima, porque con un poco más de atención a estos detalles, la experiencia habría sido mucho mejor.

Nous avons eu le duplex qui était très sale, des cheveux dans le lit, des toiles d'araignée partout, la douche était sale, le sol aussi. Et il y avait une odeur de vieux , et de moisi insoutenable. Très déçu.

The place is in the middle of the old town district, 3 minutes from the beach, very good restaurant and one corner from the main street of the old town district, but very calm and very quiet. If you want to spend a very salernitan time during your vacation deffinetly book a room.

A washing machine would be nice
