B&B Salerno IN Centro

A very comfortable room. Access to a well stocked kitchen. Our hosts provided tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits. We were able to cook our own meals if we wanted. The bed linen and towels were changed frequently. The hosts were friendly and communicated well. The best thing was the video the host sent to show exactly where the apartment is. The Old Town location is lovely but very confusing when you've only just arrived, so our instructions about where to get the taxi to and how to find the building from there were invaluable.

The water pressure in the shower is a bit weak, and the hot water takes a long time to come through.

L'appartamento si trova in un edificio molto vecchio del centro storico. Appena si entra nel palazzo si viene accolti dai cassonetti dell'immondizia che emanano un cattivo odore. L'appartamento, n. 1, è costituito da una camera con soppalco e un bagno. L'intera struttura è umidissima, tanto che si è formata la muffa sui muri, che non è stata rimossa. L'umidità è tale da non consentire agli asciugamani, trovati macchiati, di asciugarsi da un giorno all'altro. L'aria condizionata è presente, ma siccome è stata installata al piano di sotto, nel soppalco non arriva, perché l'aria fredda scende e non sale. Come soluzione, nel soppalco sono stati messi un ventilatore, pieno di polvere nella griglia, e un deumidificatore molto poco potente, che non serviva a niente, entrambi molto rumorosi. Inoltre, alcune lenzuola presentavano macchie. Per tutta la casa era presente una grande quantità di polvere, capelli e insetti morti, anche nel bagno. Nel piatto doccia c'era dello sporco incrostato, impossibile da togliere perfino con lo sgrassatore. Il wc era pieno di macchie, anche sulla tavoletta. Per finire, la scala che conduce al soppalco era molto ripida, tanto da non consentire a chiunque non si trovi in perfetta forma fisica di scendere in sicurezza.
