Super clean and comfortable beds! I was impressed with the easy check in and they even serve breakfast! I was pleasantly surprised by the super clean room and shower. I did not small the cigarette smoke you sometimes get in hotel rooms. The best I've experienced for the money. Best value

The rooms are clean, entirely renovated with modern furniture and well maintained.

The website claims that they have 24/7 receptionist and you can arrive without restriction but when you have to choose the arrival time, the latest arrival time is at 11.30 pm and if you arrive later than they would charge you additional 40 dollars per room. I reserved 2 rooms, i have already paid full for 3 nights days before the arrival and they still wanted more money!!! That is disgusting!!! I have already filled out the check in online and we were driving from Los Angeles and there was a big traffic. So to predict the arrival time is not possible. We had to drive fast to arrive before and we did it just 2 minutes earlier than 11.30pm. The receptionist wasn’t there, he was in the back room/office and took a while to come out. He could not speak English properly, it was hard to communicate. The last night a guy who looked like homeless tried to break into my room, meanwhile I was inside. I called the receptionist, he chased away the guy but he didn’t call the police as I asked. This place is not safe as the whole Santa Cruz full of criminals and homeless people.

The key to the door never worked. We kept on going back to the front desk to get them rekeyed. Just was very annoyed. Plus they wouldn’t split the bill with my friend and I. The gentleman didn’t understand. I wouldn’t come back.

Wife beater motel. No front desk personnel to deal with emergencies. No noise hours enforced. People do what they want. Not very safe. It gets two stars instead of one because it's walking distance from the boardwalk.

Very close to the boardwalk. Its was our 3rd time staying at Wyndham 8.

Still no AC Same room hot air. We had to open the window and DOOR to air out the room.
