Club Wyndham Kona

Newly renovated. very clean and roomy. Staff was great and very helpful and knowledgeable of the island. Grounds are beautifully kept.

We recently stayed at this resort the last week of May. It was one of the best resorts we have visited since joining RCI over 24 years ago. We stayed in a remodeled room with views of the ocean. The resort staff were kind and helpful. The resort is in a great location and you can easily walk to the town of Kona. I had read mixed reviews on this resort and was a bit apprehensive before our trip. This resort was outstanding and we would defiintely stay here again.

Nice location.

The location was good and the grounds were lovely. Our condo was comfortable but the decor was dated. The interior did not look at all like the photos on the website. The washing machine was so loud it sounded like a jet engine during the spin cycle. The dishwasher was not attached to anything and tipped forward when the racks were pulled out during loading and unloading. There was a high pressure campaign to get us to sit through a sales pitch to purchase a time share which we did not anticipate or appreciate.

From the beginning at check in we felt welcomed and were greeted with smiles!! Our room was super spacious and clean and comfortable! We would definitely come back here for vacations!!

Excellent location. Quiet. Highly recommend to those wanting to be near, tho not in, Kailua-Kona.

We've stayed at here many times over the years. It's a great location and the place has a wonderful vibe to it. We brought our family of 16 here for spring break and rented 4 units. Had I know the place had fallen into such filth and disgust, I would have never spent the many thousands of dollars to stay here. This was by far the most filthy, dirty place we've ever stayed. If you were to walk barefoot in any of our units for just an hour or two, the bottoms of your feet would be grossly black. This place never steam cleans the floors. We had cockroaches dead on the floors in the mornings, crawling in the kitchen and in our food almost every night. We had to put a blankets on the floor before we'd let the grandkids play. Absolutely disgusting. Our coffee pot was broke upon arrival, the garbage disposal clogged up and filled the sink with the grossest crap I've ever seen. The kids AC went out in their room. As Wyndham Gold VIP owners, we are extremely disappointed and appalled at Wyndham for letting this happen. Never again will I stay in such a disgusting, filthy condo.We booked the unit through VRBO and they were absolutely worthless in helping us. We should have booked through Trip Advisor!! FYI- The resort did reply to our review. They provided a phone number that didn't work and offered nothing for dealing with the filth. The least they could have done is offer a discount for a future stay in one of the newly REMODELED condo's.

The property was okay the staff friendliness and amenities were not very good.
