Marriott Myrtle Beach Resort & Spa at Grande Dunes

Arlando was wonderful! Very attentive and patient with our table of kids!

We visit Grand Dunes for a soccer tournament every April. Domenic always takes care of us at the bar. Makes a wonderful martini. Always friendly and fantastic service. This year Moya was incredible as well. The hotel has a great location to soccer fields and great restaurants. Between the pools, beach and game room there is a ton for the kids to do. Very clean rooms and awesome hotel staff. We look forward to the April tournament every year because it is the best hotel we get for soccer all year long. Highly recommend.

I have always wanted to stay at this hotel as it's one of the only hotels that comes close to a luxury hotel stay in Myrtle Beach. While the property is absolutely beautiful, I was a little disappointed in some of the amenities. The mattresses are very, very soft and could use replacement, the in-room robes were terribly rough, and the rooms were a bit basic for the price. The lock on our bathroom door was also broken. For $400+ a night, there should at least be bottled waters provided in room. This seemed more like a basic Marriott property than one of their boutique stays. On a positive note, the property as a whole, and especially the pool area, is beautiful. My daughter loved laying on a hammock to read, and the beach area was beautiful and clean as well. The resort is beautiful, but with a higher level of amenities, this could easily be a 5 star stay.

Location - great Facility - good Staff- great, Wesley really tried to assist me. I found that this facilities front desk managers were not accommodating at all, considering im a Marriott member that had an emergency that prevented me from staying for my entire reservation. Although I informed them as soon as possible, I also booked an extra room for the night I did stay. Summary original reservations paid three nights, booked an extra room. I asked for compensation or refund for the night I wasn’t able to stay and they denied it. I expected a Marriott property to be understanding in unforeseen situations like this, especially considering their loyal members. Really disappointed in the lack of consideration.

Never refunded my money

Our mother and daughter adventure was relaxing and just what we needed. Overall, the hotel is clean and comfort. Our room was spacious with a large bathroom, closet and comfy beds. We loved the 2 plush robes. We visited the Hibiscus spa, which has a steam room and dry sauna, private showers and a relaxation area. The staff at the spa are friendly and knowledgeable. I do want to give a shout out and a big thank you to Domenick and Moya at the Ocean bar. They are so kind and thoughtful. They knew we were coming over for a drink from the restaurant, and they reserved us a table close to the bar with a "reserved" sign and 2 glasses of water. How nice is that? We spoke to Rahul in the restaurant. He is so bright, well spoken and polite. He is exceptional in hospitality and we are so proud of him as we see he has a bright future in management. Thank you to Ashley at the front desk and to Deepak for being so understanding. We had a wonderful stay and will be back soon :)

The setting is very nice, the location very convenient and the facilities spacious. We enjoyed our time with two, somewhat related, exceptions. We paid $38.15 per day for a "resort fee" for which there were no obvious amenities provided. I was not surprised by the fee, just the absence of benefits. What did surprise us was the cold water in hotel swimming pool. I find it inexcusable for a "resort" to not heat its pools. We may stay there in the future, but only if it is a better situation/value, than the many competing properties in town.

Always enjoy staying at the Marriot in Myrtle Beach! The rooms are always clean, the location is great for getting around town, and the staff is great! One of the main reasons I choose this hotel is that is has a great bar to hang out in, good for watching sports and good for just chatting it up with others. Domenick the bartender is always on top of his game. Nice to be able to walk into a bar away from home and have my drink made without him even having to ask on just the second night there. They have a pretty good bourbon selection to boot and last time I drank a little too much of the Weller Single Barrel lol.
