Hotel Vista del Mar

My favorite hotel on Cozumel. Right in the middle of the action, but quiet after hours. Nice clean spacious rooms and the balconies with sea view are comfortable and pleasant. Staff are the absolute best people.

Service was excellent.

Our room could have used a makeover, it had seen better days. The site said there was a laundry, no laundry. Some of the towel we were given should have been rags. Very noisy till 1 am or later. I have no idea how they were given "very good" rating.

Aaron was fantastic when I checked in and everyday after that. Wonderful location for walking around the centro and clean room. Great to look out on everything going on on the the street form the balcony.

The location is ideal if you want to be close to downtown and lots of access to activities that many depart from the downtown area. There is room to park a scooter if you rent one, but you will have to street park a car. If you want that ideal view, make sure to book the ocean view room, They have other rooms without view's. The staff is super friendly and helpful, I hear they will bring breakfast and coffee if you ask, we did not. These are not pristine "resort" rooms, but everything works, the a/c was cold, the hot water was hot (might take a minute to get there, but it's there) and they keep the rooms really clean. For the location and convenience, I would definitely stay there again!!

We only had one night here, the staff are super helpful and the view is great from the balcony. It’s a little dated but really clean and tidy with a lovely big bed. We would come back again for a short stay.

This traditional Mexican hotel is located in a great downtown location. The Malecon and ocean are right across the street. The view from the balcony is excellent. It’s also within walking distance to the ferry terminal, restaurants, bars, grocery stores, etc. The front desk staff are extremely friendly and helpful. They deliver complimentary coffee and pasties to your room every morning, so that’s an added bonus. The negative aspect of this location, is the all day street and traffic noise. Also, the swimming pool and pool areas aren’t very inviting.

Wish they had smart tv's. They only had 1 english channel to watch and it was usually the same thing every day. Other than that, its a nice convenient place to stay

I travel all over the world; hundreds of different hotels every year. There is no cooler place with such a view as Vista Del Mar. Everyone super nice that checked me in, a giant deck with the greatest view you could ever want looking right into the ocean and right to where the mega giant cruise ships dock. Just

There is no real entrance to the Hotel. Had to wonder around for awhile until the manager saw me and took me to an elevator. The room is big and the balcony view is fantastic. Problem is the place is a total dump that should have been shut down or remodeled a decade or more ago. It’s a run-down, dirty, unmaintained mess. The showers are disgusting with moldy curtains, shower heads from the 80s with limescale so bad they barely work. Shower doesn’t drain and the floor is…yuck!!! No fan in the bathroom so the ceiling of course is all moldy. Bed is big and as hard as the dirty tile floor. The big bright street light shinning directly at the room makes sitting on the balcony after dark painful to the eyes. Don’t bring your children or drunk friends here—the balcony railings are a huge safety hazard, falling apart and missing big sections, just waiting for someone to lean on them before and fall to their death. I’ve stayed at older hotels on the island and at least they were clean and maintained. This one is far from that. They have two pools, both are disgusting, old, dirty, missing half the tiles, cold, etc.. Loud buzzing of electrical equipment by the pools make it impossible to sit and relax for a moment. Total bates motel vibe here. I feel like a need a shower just writing this. Gross!
