Hotel Vista del Mar

This hotel is the perfect location, rooms have beautiful views and the staff are great! The coffee service in the morning is amazing! The property is lacking maintenance. If the owners would put some effort into the maintenance of the property, this hotel couldn’t be beat for the price.

Have stayed here before. Staff is excellent! However, there is always issues with the air-conditioning. My AC barely worked. My buddy's didnt work and got switched to a room that also had a bad AC. Building is in town so be prepared for some noise. But also the convenience of being able to walk to great food and drink.

I left Cozumel today after spending 6 nights at Vista Del Mar. What stands out most to me is the staff. They are exceptionally friendly and kind! Each morning they brought me coffee and sweet rolls at a time I previously designated, even at 5:45 one morning. It felt like they could not do enough for me. I had two VERY heavy suitcases, and the owner (I think he was the owner) carried them up the stairs when I got there and then back down today. They are putting in an elevator, but it is not finished yet. The second most important thing to me is good air conditioning, and my room was amazingly cool! I like to sleep with a blanket for the weight, so I need to be able to turn down the A/C to be comfortable. I was in heaven. When I would come in from the hot sun, this room was nice! Nice, clean towels were provided everyday. The housekeeping staff is terrific. To be sure this is not the Ritz, but it is clean, comfortable, provides coffee, and I felt very safe the whole time. It is iocated in the touristy area of Cozumel, but it is a short walk to restaurants with some of the best food I have ever eaten. If you want to be in the middle of everything while knowing you are safe and will be comfortable, give Vista Del Mar a try. I highly recommend it!

We absolutely loved this little hotel, nothing fancy but very clean, comfortable beds. Great AC. Hot water takes a few minutes to kick in but this does not deter me in any way. The morning coffee service is adorable. The view from the balcony is priceless. Nice clean little pool a d sundeck. Location is excellent you can walk everywhere in town. Wonderful change from big AI resort vacationing. Highly recommend this little place.

The staff was incredible. Ocean view room was fantastic and the price was great. The only downfall, which I'm guessing is common in older Cozumel hotels was the water pressure in the shower was low and it takes about 15 minutes or more of running the water for it to get hot. Other than that we enjoyed our stay very much and would gladly return.

Rooms are very dark, lighting not good. Shower takes awhile to get hot.
