Hotel Vista del Mar

Property was close to ferry dock. Had pool. Close to shopping. Didn’t like the lack of elevator, as our room was on 4th floor.

Nice place.

This is a budget friendly hotel on the main street close to the ferry. Beds are comfortable, ac worked well and the staff are very nice. We did not have an ocean view room which is fine since we had a quiet back room. We were pleasantly surprised to have coffee and croissants delivered to our room the following morning. They allowed us to store our luggage at the hotel all day while we went to the beach.

Great little place right on the main road. Although we didnt have an ocean view room, we liked the place. Our balcony was in the back so less street noise and the balcony was huge. It was a nice touch to get coffee and croissant delivered to our door the next morning.

Hospitality was wonderful, View and location is top notch. Surprisingly quiet in the evenings even though situated on the main drag. Great price, would definitely recommend.

Very good choice for staying the downtown area. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was large and comfortable. We had an oceanview king room. Our balcony had two very comfortable chairs but the street noise was a bit overwhelming although expected. Bed was comfortable and A/C worked well. Water pressure was strong and plenty of hot water. Small refrigerator in the room was a nice plus. Very convenient to groceries and a 7-11 is next door for quick snacks and drinks. The pool area is very small with only a few chairs and surrounded by buildings so not a spot that lends itself to lounging. The price was excellent. I would not hesisitate to stay here again on a return trip.

The shower was a disaster, it shot out into the bathroom. The spigots were impossible yo figure out, us and a few of our traveling companions had cold showers before we figured them out. The grate over the drain wasn't attached so it would float off and then you had to be careful you didn't step there and fall in the drain. The toilet was very slow to flush, I was always afraid it wouldn't. And you can't flush any toilet paper, but that's an island wide issue. The air conditioner blew straight onto the bed. And it ran constantly, no cycling on and off due to the temperature. On or off. Nothing in between. The staff were very nice, the building was very quiet, and the view is fantastic, our balcony faced the water. It seemed very safe, but that's island wide. There's very little crime there. We never once felt unsafe.

Aaron and the team at Vista Del Mar ate terrific! The place is located perfectly — near everything you want to do—not in the middle of everything yet within very quick walking distance. The view of the Port/ocean is incredible. The pool is super clean. Aaron gave helpful recommendations for nearby grocery stores. And the housekeeping staff members were happy, always smiling, and always gracious. When I come back to Cozumel in December, I will be staying here for two weeks! Truly wonderful!

When we arrived we were greeted by Coral who was lovely and helpful for our entire stay there. The rooms are beautiful and the balcony with the harbour view is Instagram worthy. Everything was excellent, this was probably the best shower and room we had in our entire trip in mexico. We got free coffee and croissants in the morning and we even got extra towels to use by the pool. We loved everyone who works there Coral, Tanya and the guy (I forgot his name, sorry). If we ever needed anything there was always someone there to help, we gave them our laundry and they also organised our dive trips for us. We did alot of diving there and everything was awesome. Thanks Vista Del Mar for such a lovely time in Cozumel 😍
