Hotel Vista del Mar

Great location within walking distance to all shopping and restaurants.

We just spent ten wonderful days here in Cozumel. Over the years we've come to this great island and have stayed at many different places, but this was our first time staying at the Vista Del Mar. This place is located right on Rafael Melgar adjacent to the Aqua Safari boat pier, and is very convenient to the numerous little eateries around the area. They have several ocean view rooms, some with king size beds and others with two queen beds. Being right on the "main drag" along the seawall you can get a little street noise from down below, but it mostly dies down after about 9:00pm. We never had a hard time sleeping. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony overlooking the parade out front, either sipping coffee in the morning or a beer at night. The hotel manager, Coral Espadad and her staff took excellent care of us, brought coffee and pastries every morning at whatever time we specified, and they even arranged for our COVID tests before going home. Not fancy, but a GREAT little 'Boutique Hotel,' especially for the price. We will stay there when we return in June!

We were not sure about independent hotels in Cozumel, but we took a chance. Vista del Mar was fantastic! A convenient way to experience Cozumel. We could quickly walk to all tge great food or taxis are across the street. The 7-11 is next door for grabbing snacks and cervezas. Hotel is on the main road, so there is street noise, but it didn't keep us awake. The small pool was perfect for cooling off after snorkeling.

The Vista Del Mar is a very basic hotel with a great view if you get the ocean view room. The hotel is located right in the middle of everything. The staff was great and even helped me with a few special requests. There are no chairs in the room so if you want a place to sit and relax it will have to be on the bed or the balcony.

I wanted to stay at a reasonable priced hotel within walking distance of attractions. I loved my stay here and couldn't ask for a more attentive and friendly staff. Within walking distance of anything I needed and of course taxi are immediately available for the trips to other areas of the island. Highly recommend this hotel.

Wonderful, friendly staff. Clean, spacious rooms, and an amazing shower. We had an ocean-view room, and loved watching the people and the boats. Close to everything, convenient. Highly recommend.

My room was a harbour view and its worth a little extra to watch all the activity there. I also want to mention the attention to detail paid by the housekeeping staff, every day a new animal made from towels!! Thanks, Cora,l for a great experience!

Smaller hotel with nice balconys with a ocean view! Great location with lots of restaurants & bars close by.

This hotel has been fantastic. The staff welcomed us with Coronas (or waters) at check in, and have checked to see if we wanted coffee brought to the room each morning. They have all been super friendly and helpful, and even left me a cute little towel cake with flowers on my bed for my birthday. The room has been cleaned each day while we are out. The view ocean view room is amazing. AC works really well. The only slight negative is the street noise can be a little loud during busy times, but closing the metal patio doors helps. Definitely recommend and would stay here again
