Impiana Beachfront Resort Patong, Phuket

Close to the beach and great staff! :)

Beautiful stay.

Loved the view and location. Didn’t like the noise from the town and fireworkers all night.

Our room was roach infested. Staff refused to give a new room and stated there were no other rooms available. We threatened to leave and requested a refund, that is when they decided to give us another room. It was smaller and they refused to refund us the difference.

These property was refreshing

This hotel is not anything like the pictures. First, the location is Patong Beach, basically in the most hectic & dirty areas of all Phuket. It smells of sewage & it’s very hard to get taxis to pick up / drop off because the street backs up for a mile and almost no cars can get through. Picture Mardi Gras & having your hotel room door right there. Second, the lobby and the bungalows are all open air, so there’s nothing to stop all the drunk people roaming the street to come into the property. As a solo female traveler, I would not recommend. Next, the rooms are run down. The shower head was hanging off the ceiling, there was mold & very obvious water damage all over the bathroom. Lastly, there’s only about 25 pool chairs that are always taken for the entire day, but only a few have people actually sitting in them, they just leave their stuff there at 7am & keep it occupied. I spent 5 days there and never got a chair once.

The hotel is in desperate need of a complete renovation. The rooms are very dated and dirty. Mosquitoes everywhere and the bathrooms smell awful. The Impiana group obviously have no problem charging guests full rates for extremely poor quality accommodation. The overall hotel grounds are well kept (cheaper to maintain than the rooms). The location is the only plus point of this property, however it does not make up for the utterly dreadful condition of the rooms. Don’t be seduced by the 15 year old images. Take your money elsewhere….

From GM Gerard and his friendly and helpful tips to security Surayo, to Yot the drink master, to the super friendly front desk workers, to the omelet maker and the coffee girl and so many other respectful and fun staff - we cannot thank you enough for your kindness, smiles and warm welcome to your lovely resort! How fabulous that the resort is right on Patong Beach. We were surprised by how quiet it was considering the busy road behind it. There is everything one needs within walking distance. And that beach and those sunsets are breathtaking! Impiana has lovely loungers and umbrellas by the pool. We are beach people so walked a bit down the beach to a huge area that rents lounge chairs and umbrellas for only a few bucks for the day. I think Impiana had some gravity chairs and the trees offer nice shade options in front of their property on the beach but we preferred the other chairs down the beach. Not a big deal - we appreciated that it wasn’t so chaotic in front of Impiana. :)

Overall the hotel was in a great location with a great staff. The room needs a deep cleaning. My room had many mosquitoes inside and the bathroom had black mold. It’s very close to bangala road which made it convenient for partying. I also booked it because online it said there was a spa but when I arrived the spa was no longer open.

Best spot. Right on the beach. Right near all the food and shopping you could ever want. Their security guards are great and don’t let anyone in if they don’t have a room key so felt very safe. Would definitely return and suggest to everyone.
