Hampton Inn Carrollton

The hotel is currently doing a remodel. When checking in, the room on the third floor stank. I complained and was given a different room and it stank also. The carpet is what stinks. When I complained, I was given a can of Lysol. There was peeling paint, stains in tub, torn lamp shades and very worn furniture. At breakfast, there were waffles but no syrup, no plates, and no juices. When asking for some of the above, was told they didn't have any. Sorry. The woman attending was very rude. The women (including manager) were also rude. Didn't ask about stay when checking out or anything...just handed me receipt and turned to talk to each other. Worst Hampton Inn experience I have ever had.

Needs a little decor update

My stay was ok. My room smelled very musky, and I could see signs of leaks around my windows and AC unit. My shower head just kind of bounced around in the wall, didn't seem to be attached to anything. Overall, everything just seemed outdated.

the bed was comfortable and the staff was nice.

the rooms need a total renovation. Bathtub had a large black stain on tub. shower head coming out of walk. small pillows on beds. remote didn’t work well. breakfast just ok and no butter. room had terrible bleachy smell that lingered. no usb ports

Quick check in and out process

No vending machines. No cream cheese or butter at breakfast

Pros: Bed was comfortable and room was quiet. Location is convenient to many dining options, some even walkable. Area felt safe. Staff was friendly and helpful. Two bottled waters were provided upon check in at no cost. Cons: This property is in need of some upgrades. Everything is very aged. Carpet in hallways is dirty and worn. Room has a old smell to it. Bedskirt was too big and laid on the floor. Sheet was too small and came off the corners easily. Wallpaper peeling in bathroom. No soap in bathroom but was able to retrieve some from the front desk. Door keys stopped working after only a couple hours. However front desk corrected this easily.
