3/5 This is a great motel option in the north Missoula area. The rooms were large, all the staff was so friendly and helpful, and the location is good for highway access. The only reason I have given this a 3-star overall rating is because of its ridiculous daily parking fee. Yes, a motel in the middle of bo-#&$)#) nowhere charges $10 per day to park one's car. How else does one get to the motel and avoid such a fee? Who knows. No other motel in the area (and there are at least 8-10 within a couple miles) charges its guests to park. It is not as if this little motel is located on prime real estate with limited parking. There were a few reasons given to me: 1) people park their cars and take the free shuttle to the airport, so this is a deterrent; 2) charging parking fees is "gaining traction" in the Montana hospitality industry, so Fairfield Inn is simply keeping up with current trends. Strangely, in an adjacent field, there was actually a sign for Fairfield Inn Park and Fly customers. We stayed in the motel 3 nights, so we were charged an additional $30 for our stay. I was pleased that the Fairfield did not charge a daily fee for others amenities common to a motel such as running water, electricity, or door locks. Notwithstanding the parking fee, the Fairfield was still a good bargain during the time period we needed lodging. The manager, Kim Sawyer, was aware of my complaint regarding the parking fee, and emailed me a thoughtful explanation, and also left a peppy voicemail on my room telephone welcoming me. I appreciated these gestures. Regarding other relevant facts about the stay, the hot breakfast was completely adequate and average. Eggs every morning, accompanied by sausage or bacon or biscuits and gravy. Coffee was not terrible. The fitness room was lacking in certain respects: every single monitor on the aerobic machines was broken (2 eliptical machines, 3 treadmills). It was nice to have two sets of free weights and two benches. Would I stay here again? Maybe, but only if it is a good deal again. Otherwise, the parking fee completely annoyed me and I will also not recommend this place to friends.

We stayed for six nights. Inexplicably, our room was made up and cleaned only once. The staff simply ignored us.

Staff is always friendly and helpful i stay every week and I have always had a great experience great breakfast as well!!

It had everything you needed and more. It was state of the art. It was very comfortable. The breakfast was one of the best I've had in a motel.
