Thames Inn and Marina

It was a great location but linens were dirty on one of the beds. Streaming and cable did not work so coupd not watch any TV.

We were initially a bit worried about this hotel due to not so super good past ratings, but still gave it a shot as it fitted the location we wanted to be at during this night. At the end we were very happy with our choice: Despite ordering just a single room, we could a significant free room upgrade to a full suite with two bed rooms and a balcony which was really nice. The very friendly staff also mentioned that they are currently renovating all rooms. In general, for us it was very good value for money and would recommend based on our experience.

They still need to work a little on their room cleaning (we e. g. found a toothbrush apparently from a previous guest in the bathroom), but beds seemed very clean and overall it was still acceptable.

Great spot for water view...Paul's Pasta next door in an institution and the area has charm if you ignore some of the run down, vacant and blighted buildings. Staff is very nice and friendly.

Location on river was nice But outside patio area could be cleaner goose or dog poop on the ground

Nothing it looked like old little rooms you can live in . The front looked horrible you could tell people live there by the month. It was not anything like I thought. Will never do that again

The location was great

The bed was not comfortable. The panels in the cupboard were broken . The room was generally clean but had a lot of damages to it. Overall, I would pay less for the same space.

Sam at the front desk was amazing—super friendly and attentive, and definitely the highlight of my stay. The room itself had a great layout, and having a kitchen was a nice option (even though I didn’t use it). However, there was a strange smell in the room that never went away. I ended up buying Lysol to mask it, which helped a bit, but proper ventilation is definitely needed. Also, while the hotel advertises a water view, it’s important to know that it’s mostly blocked by a wire fence (for safety purposes--I get that) if you’re on the ground floor. You’ll only get a real view if you’re on the second floor. Overall, the service was excellent, but the room could use some improvements.

2 sets of stairs to room, one extremely narrow and steep. Mattress on one bed old and worn. No extra toilet paper. Waited for 30 minutes at check in time only to find out room was not ready.
