Decameron Club Caribbean Runaway Bay, Ramada All-Inclusive Resort

This is a wonderful location and resort. It is older, shows age but the staff is warm, friendly, helpful and it is clean. It is a 3 star hotel with a 5 star beach view. It is chill, and basic and you will have a great time if you come with an open mindset and lower your expectations. You knew what you were reserving so don't invent stories like you are a child. Euros you need to be more respectful to the ALL workers, slavery is over and if your employers knew how you acted on vacation you would rethink how you treat others instantly. You know who you are. All in all I shall return.

Beach hut rooms were clean and comfortable and the sea views are stunning. This is like a little paradise. Not sure what people find to complain about. The complex is older and a little tired but this only adds to its charm. The grounds are beautiful and very well maintained. All the staff work so hard and are friendly when approached. The food is a little repetitive but you would never go hungry and there is plenty of variety. Overheard other UK guests talking about having to order Pizza to be delivered to the reception but not sure why you would book an all inclusive holiday if you are a fussy eater to this extent and then blame it on the hotel. It is a 3*** establishment and despite this goes above and beyond on every level

Even if you have no where to go, DO NOT go to Decameron Runaway Bay for now. They NEED to improve the hotel. Their furnitures are old and their system as well. They ran out of utensils and plates every time I went for a meal.

We returned for a second visit to the Decameron after a fantastic previous visit, this time to include a special birthday. From start to finish this holiday was fabulous! On arrival at the hotel we were met by the friendliest reception staff who were very helpful and informative and gave us the warmest welcome which included a very tasty fruit punch. I have reduced mobility so requested a room near to amenities and the friends that I was holidaying with I got exactly what I requested to the point were our bungalows were connected which made it so easy for us. Our bungalow was clean tidy fresh looking everything worked as it should, shower pressure was great, plenty of fresh towels and complimentary toiletries. For our use in the bungalow was an iron ironing board, fridge (stocked daily with bottled water,soft drinks and red stripe beer) hairdryer and safe. The air conditioning worked really well and was much needed. I have to shout out our housekeeper Tamesha who was such a beautiful soul, she really looked after us making sure everything was perfect on every day of our stay she went above and beyond decorating our beds leaving towel sculptures and went all out decorating the room on the special birthday we were truly blessed and could not thank her enough for making it so very special. The grounds are kept impeccably neat and tidy the gardeners do an incredible job looking after them and all done in the intense heat while wearing thick cotton uniforms no idea how they manage! Troy our gardener on our section was so lovely we chatted to him daily he always asked if we were ok and also was super knowledgeable about the local fruit and plants growing on the grounds. He brought us mango straight off the tree and fresh aloe Vera to help with sunburn and bites, he also painted us some stones as a lasting memory of our trip such a cool idea. The overall position of the resort in the bays is beautiful the beach is kept clean and tidy a team including Seabreeze another lovey chap rake up the seaweed several times a day collect cups that inconsiderate people have left on the beach and will grab you a coconut straight off the trees if you want one. The bar staff are amazing very attentive they really do bend over backwards for the guests. All the bars are well stocked clean tidy and nothing is too much trouble. The entertainment team is second to none they made our holiday fun, interesting and so enjoyable hats off to them all they worked so hard to get people to participate. Teaching dances doing daily fun quizzes keeping the music going and generally making sure the vibe was good and everyone had a great holiday. Shout out to Freezer, lady B, chocolata just to mention a few One of the staff members Denzil checked in on us every evening making sure we had a good day he is a credit to the hotel, he was very personable he taught us games chatted to us had a great personality and made us feel like family not just quests. Our overall experience was so good we can’t wait to book back next year we are aware there are some changes afoot but really hope nothing major does change as it would be a massive shame if this quaint secluded retreat changed too much ….if it’s not broke don’t fix it!….if your looking for a massive friendly welcome home hug when you get here that’s exactly what you’ll get. My only unfavourable report would be that we met some Karen and Kevin’s who did not have the experience we had and were very vocal regarding this which is such a shame! We were even told by one individual that we got special service due to us giving big tips to the staff…this was not the case we tipped the staff who we felt deserved it and gave fairly these people work very hard to give us a good experience and should be rewarded for it. Thank you everyone at Decameron for a fabulous fantastic holiday we will see you all again next year …one love x❤️

The condition of this place is disgusting the sheets and pillow cases are grey the towel are grey the food were pauling the sun lounger were the most disgusting sun lounger I have ever seen they were dirty torn filthy i would not go there again and I will not be recommending this place to anyone by the way the towel were sopose to be white they were filthy never again

My husband and I booked for our anniversary we got there late, so wasn't much hassle with check-in, we were sent to dinner and told to come bck and finish with our check in process as dinner was almost ending and there were no room service option , dinner was not bad , we went back and completed our check in process we then went straight to our room for me the room was ok but not much room space there were also no wash rags. We unpacked, got a shower and went to the disco bar. The night club bar team was very accommodating. We partied until closing time. Even though there were no room there was a snack area where we could get burgers,hot dog, French fries. Breakfast was ok we could hear the staff shouting and arguing at the bck of house and even in the dinning area staff are very unprofessional and loud. But while we were there we meet a few staff that really stood out for us Andrew, Alexander, Tanisha Walter at breakfast was very welcoming each morning. Ms. D Gibson at the front desk helped to make our anniversary night special, she made a reservation for us at the rooftop restaurant dinner was good there. Keniel from the bar team was exceptional from we got there to our last day he went above and beyond to attend to our needs, he gave my husband a property tour which was greatly appreciated, everything he did was always with a smile he really helped to make our stay a memorable one big up Keneil.
