"Go at your own risk"

2.0

We stayed in the standard room and it seemed as though it was the oldest, most outdated "fixer upper" room in the property. The pillows were very hard as though they were stuffed with fabric instead of sponge; the shower was a bathtub similar to one I grew up in from the 80s with a plastic shower curtain! The staff was very despondent as though it was a chore to be at work. The only good thing about this experience was the entertainment team. By far one of the worst all inclusive experiences that I've had at Club Caribbean. Definitely not what was advertised on their ig page (which only shows images of the Mobay location btw).

"First impression last"

6.0

The room was the best place for us, it was very cool and quiet. The housekeeper said they don't change sheets the very next day after you checked in.. Maybe limited sheets, just like limited utensils.

The fact is that the security said he was told not to let in anyone until 2 pm because rooms are not ready, WHAT ABOUT VIEWING THE PROPERTY UNTIL... but he did let in white couples and had the audacity to say they are foreigners, he didn't had on a name tag. The fact that they are stereotyped is very bad and sad. Train for better customer service, treat the staff better for them to treat everyone, and NOT JUST TOURISTS better..

"Still smiling"

8.0

The experience is truly what you make it. Breakfast was always a delight with variety and taste. Dinner in the main buffet needs much work for an acquired taste. Also, utensils and food replenishments are a slow process which leaves you waiting longer just to eat. The great benefit was that the meals at dinner in the a la carte restaurant was really good but had smaller portions and it is difficult to get appointments. This resort has great potential but with limited amenities. The water activities were such a bonus but there were not many equipments and some needed repairs. Decameron's true gem is their staff, I truly hope they realize that. Overall I give this experience a 7.5 or 8.

"Be very cautious in booking this resort through a 3rd party"

2.0

I'm giving this a terrible rating due to a problem I had with my booking. I booked through priceline an oceanfront cottage. When I arrived of course I was told room wasn't ready. In conversation with the desk person she mentioned a regular room (cheapest category). I mentioned no that I had 2 emails from priceline stating oceanfront cottage which is what I paid for. I showed the desk person my emails and was told they would check on it and to check back in a couple hours. I go to the bar without a room and check back around 4pm. Still not resolved, now I'm told to email my confirmation to a couple different emails of people in the office so I did and check back with them soon. I give it another couple hours and check back about 6pm. Still no resolution and I'm told they cannot give me the oceanfront cottage I paid for and the manager was not in that day but I could speak with her the following day. Since its after 6pm and I need a room I take the room they gave me which in the parking lot, about as close to the main road as I could get. A regular room as far away from the oceanfront cottage I booked and paid for as you can get. I go back to the front desk the following day to speak to the manager and they refused to give me the room I paid for. The explanation was I didn't pay enough as I booked through priceline and I could only get the oceanfront cottage if I paid to them NOW several hundred more dollars. After spending most of my 2nd day on the phone with priceline and emailing everyone under the sun and numerous trips between my room and the front desk....they refused to change my room without additional payment directly to them. In my opinion, this should have been THEIR problem not mine. Their contract with priceline and the rates charged through priceline is not my fault. The room I booked should have been guaranteed. I've been to Jamaica 30 plus times and I have always booked through a 3rd party. I have NEVER had this problem with any other hotel EVER. I even ask if I could just get an garden view cottage instead of the standard room but was told no. Some of the front desk staff were as nice as they could be about the situation and some of them including the manager could not be bothered with the situation. Overall, although the resort could use an overhaul I made the best of the stay. Most of the staff were accommodating and although there could have been more food selections, there was always enough. I'm not a very picky person but I could have booked the standard room (which is what I received) for a lot less than what I paid for an oceanfront cottage. What made the trip most tolerable was the other guests that I met there and became friends with. It didn't help though that one of the other guests advised me that they complained of noise in the first room they received and were promptly moved to another room. I would not go back to this resort due to the room not being given to me and I never received any compensation back from. Priceline.

"Feral"

4.0

Being a white guy I’ve never really experienced racism before but wow this was a hugely racist experience. I came back yesterday after 2 weeks. The hotel is unkept and needs updating, the photos sold to you are from 20 years ago. The beach hut that we thought we had paid for from the pictures was in fact an older hut on the opposite side and it wasn’t as idyllic as the ones pictured, we kept getting the floor covered in dead flying ants, there were holes in the roof, the mattress was filthy and we had to clean our own window because it was so dirty that you literally couldn’t see out of it. Friday to Monday is hell, it is open house for all the locals, they literally eat everything in site and take plates of food back to their huts and they waste so much! Yet I attempted to take 2 small patties out of the snack bar and was reprimanded and stopped!! The local and black tourists are hostile towards white tourists and do not care if you were first in queue they will barge in front and wait your reaction. They completely take over the pool area and white British people are pushed aside and end up retreating to the beach. This needs to stop. The only word to describe this hotel is feral and definitely not classy as perceived in glossy pictures. There are a selected few off staff that are absolutely fantastic and so caring and polite but unfortunately a vast amount of the staff are lazy and hostile and do not want to help you unless you are black or giving tips. The bar staff were always nasty and horrible towards us, especially lloyd. Nobody seems to be in control of the staff and the situation, there is no leadership or management off staff. They all congregate at the beach bar at the far end doing literally nothing! We met a few people on trips staying in Bahia principal hotel and how the staff were amazing and I now wish I went there instead. I feel like I have thrown away £4.5k.

"Poor"

Within a day of being there we had booked to stay at another hotel. WiFi only works in the lobby and when asking the reception staff about it they acted as if we were inconveniencing them. Very limited food options and small pool. Poor air conditioning so felt continuously uncomfortable

"It was a good time to self-reflect and enjoy the scenery."

8.0

Location was central and it was okay for chilling and relaxing.

The overall experience was good but the wifi was intermittent, location of the adult pool was too far, expected more food options, there isn’t a snack bar for late night munchies, didn’t see much activities throughout the day. Hopefully they work on improving.

"1st time customer!"

4.0

I liked the location. The staff were very pleasant and accommodating. Everyone said hello, good morning, good evening etc.

The food was not very appetizing, there were flies around the serving station.
