Vamar Vallarta All Inclusive Marina and Beach Resort

I spent over $3200 dollars to stay at this resort for 2 of us. They are a hit and miss on getting our rooms cleaned. When they do clean the room they leave 2 bottles of water (sometimes) Today we spent all day out, didn't eat a single meal here and when we got back tonight our room hadn't been touched, which was ok. I went downstairs and asked for some water bottles and I was rudely told that I am supposed to save my bottles and go refill them 😑 In all my travels I have never been told this! Ridiculous that they cant even supply water for their guests.

We enjoyed the stay. Liked the scheduled daily activities, especially a bike trip, cooking classes, and water fitness sessions. A special thank you is for the activity guy Jorge. His attitude, enthusiasm, and friendly approach were amazing. It was also great to be able to communicate with him easily in English — he was always very helpful. The main pool was always clean, the weather was fantastic, and the location is excellent. One evening there was even a fair at the nearby marina, which created an authentic atmosphere. We also appreciated having reliable hot water in the room and a tile bathtub that keeps warmth for a long time. What could be improved: The variety of food and restaurants could be better. It would also help to have more English-speaking staff to avoid misunderstandings. The person responsible for kids’ activities should definitely speak English. Additionally, in our room the faucet was leaking.

This is a beautiful all inclusive resort if you love sitting along the waterway to the marina watching all the yachts go by! Or if you have a great balcony unit. But Beach resort it is not! No chairs or palapas on the sand as it is a very narrow strip bordered by a rock face on top of which sits pools, chairs etc.The whole resort is divided into 2 sections by a highway. The hotel on the upper section and the beach section on the ocean. It is quite a walk between the two! There is almost no reception for internet- not even in the business office!! We had 2 issues at home so had to remove the ‘airplane mode’ from our phone to communicate by phone. Besides those 2 issues we enjoyed our stay. Our unit with a balcony was amazing , clean and quiet. The staff are incredibly kind and accommodating. A few Spanish words go a long way! And Mexican pesos ( not US dollars) are the way to go!

It’s a 3 star, outdated property if that’s ok for you. Food is edible but not creative. Beds not best. No fridge in room. Lack of English speaking if important for you to communicate. Location is great lots to see and lots restaurants at this marina. We are going on RYTHUM OF THE NIGHT CRUISE heard it’s fantastic Cheers

We arrived February 12 and stayed until the 19. I stayed here many years ago and was looking forward to seeing the hotel and grounds and bringing back more good memories. The front desk staff were great. Most spoke excellent English and were very helpful. Same with the concierge and porters. Very nice guys and super helpful. The pool was very nice and surprisingly there were not a shortage of chairs. The beach side is also nice with a couple of good pools and another snack bar. Our room was a standard room which was exactly how it sounds and maybe a tad worse. It has all hi need for basics. The balcony has to be seen to fully grasp the whole experience. It’s approximately 3ft (91cm) by 3ft. Two people ca barely stand on it. We had a good laugh and shrugged it off. I enquired at the front desk about an upgrade to something bigger but was told there was nothing available. While waiting for the staff to search for available rooms 3 different Spanish speaking guests cut right in line and interrupted out conversation. Despite this obvious lack of manners all three guests got immediate service. This is turns out would be a recurring theme The buffet was satisfactory although it is in dire need of a renovation. The food was mostly ok. You definitely get what you pay for. The wait staff and hostess were super and friendly. The bartenders were nice and obviously worked very hard to keep things running. Mostly we noticed a difference of some services at different times between English and Spanish speaking guests. Spanish speaking guests appeared to get preferential treatment and were often served first. While this was extremely annoying the more I thought about it I began to understand it. I’m certain that if our rolls were reversed that I’d do exactly the same thing. All in all it’s a very a very average to slightly below average resort. It’s good for what you pay for but there are better ones out there for similar prices.

Visited PV in Feb 2026 and stayed at Vamar. We looked into a lot of mid-line “budget” resorts and landed here on a last minute timeline and we don’t regret it. The resort itself is not the fanciest, but it definetly makes you feel welcome. The food is 8/10—they do themed nights (seafood theme was our favourite) where there is something for everyone. The restaurants are OK. the buffet and snack bar was better than the reso restaurants. There is a lot of outdated signs and info on this resort (their website does not match… hours are off, they don’t have an Italian restaurant, etc). Nobody dresses fancy for the restaurants. But the drinks are great! The lobby bar has the best and strongest drinks. Their bartenders are amazing. Be warned about booking activities , I would research many options before booking with their concierge activity bookings. We did a tour group to san pancho and it was not at all like the concierge who booked us told us it would be like. :( The property itself is very convinient, marina location is great. Go to Thursday night market. Beach was lovely. Our room was not like the pictures but not bad. A bit dated. The beds are COMFORTABLE and housekeeping does an amazing job. Huge sized balcony in the superior rooms, but a kitchenette that you certainly do not need. The marina side where units are is very loud, golf carts beeping and kids in the pool and music. Beach side is quieter. We have been everywhere in PV and marina offers the most relaxing atmosphere with proximity to town if you want to party. This is not the resort for young people who want nightlife and activity. There is evening live music which is lovely and ends by 10 pm. Cannot say enough about the lovely staff. The people who run this place are amazing. We were shocked at how every staff who served us meals or gave us towels remembered who we were even after a week. Very memorable. We would definetly come back for the price, value, convenience, and staff. We had a lovely trip and hope this information is helpful for the next lucky people that get to come here! Thank you Vamar!

I didn't get to see the resort much. I wanted to have a great experience for my last 3 days in Mexico. PV. The food is VERY salty, lots of fat in all of the food. Well at the buffet and the snack bar, that is all I was able to experience. If someone has high blood pressure, high cholesterol or any cardiac issues you should stay away from the food. The pool is nice. Didn't get to any other restaurants. I had a blood pressure crisis after eating one of their burgers at the snack bar. Thought maybe it was dehydration. Nope, had to go-to the hospital and was admitted. I got back to the resort at 10:45 on my day of check out. They gave me till 12:00 to check out. Woops do! When you check out you can't stay at the resort and wait till you have to go to the airport. What should a person do. I have been to many resorts in PV where they let you swim in the pool and eat, till you need to get to the airport. So let's all sit in an airport for more hours than really needed. Most of us fly back to somewhere cold. Having those last few hours in the sun just gives us a bit more positive vibes before we head home. Always check ahead re having to clear the resort before you need to get to the airport. This would not be my choice for this again

Nice hotel with very nice staff. a very, very special thank you to Miguel in the lobby for being extra helpful and sweet with a huge smile on his face at all times, he made our stay extra special. Food was OK. Overall, a family, friendly hotel with shops and restaurants close by.
