All employees polite and friendly. Room immaculate, everything worked well. Bfast, tho nothing real special, good start and well run. Takes guts for me (69 years old) but lots of really old people staying there. Lots of doggies but sll well behaved. Beautiful grounds where one can sit and enjoy lake Gitche Gume…

Kind of expensive. Beds are not that comfortable but it’s clean and food is great!

We were very happy with our stay the 3rd weekend of September 2025. We had a 1st floor suite with a king-sized bed. The small "living room" had a view of the lake. The bedroom had a view of the pool which was a little disappointing, but we didn't spend much time in the bedroom except to sleep. We brought along a sound machine so having a pool so close to the bedroom window wasn't a problem. Loved that they had firewood and 3 firepits along the lake to enjoy in the evening. We ate one meal at the restaurant which was very convenient as there aren't alot of places to eat close by. It looked like all the tables had a view of the lake. Loved the convenience to the Porcupine Mts. State Park just a few miles away. Staff was friendly and the continental breakfast was more than sufficient to start our day. Would definitely stay there again.

Great location! So close to the porcupine mountains and waterfalls. Perfect location for exploring the Western upper peninsula. We had a room overlooking lake Superior. It was beautiful and the beach and fire pit area is the perfect spot to watch the sunset. The restaurant is decent and reasonably priced and the food was good. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. I will definitely recommend staying here if you want to visit the porkies. We were even able to see the beautiful night sky with hardly any light pollution. Our room was very clean when we arrived. The housekeeping during our stay was kind of hit or miss. No vacuuming the floors during our stay and one day our bed was half made and our wet towels were folded back up. We had to get more soap from the front desk. Not a deal breaker for sure, just kind of strange.

Bed was fairly hard, might need a new mattress, room was clean, tight parking, nice spot near the lake. Asked for an 11:30 checkout but was called at 11:10 and told "checkout was at 11." Overall nice place.

Very friendly and accommodating staff! Outstanding location with a spectacular view of Lake Superior. There were so many things to see and do in the area. This is a gem of a place to stay

Beautiful location.

The hotel is clean & well maintained, the staff was professional and friendly and knowledgeable. There is a large open area that our dog loved!
