Hyatt Regency Grand Reserve Puerto Rico

Location was one of the better qualifying factors of this resort. Positioned well on the island and good proximity to the city, rainforest, with premier gold in your backyard. The adventure amenities included were the best part. There were also excellent sunset views and the beach felt very secluded. Food offered at the pool was well priced. Staf was friendly!

The resort food and options were limited. Two of three days we stayed only two of the eight restaurants were open. There was no bottle opener in the room and when I called to request one they said I had to buy one. The room service was delayed and had to be requested and many areas were missed as it felt rushed. Two of three pool bars were closed two of our three days we stayed. First night at Nori Fusion they did not have our reservation and sat us outside in an alley. We waited 30 minutes before I had to get up and request menus and water them it took another 10 minutes to get a server. When they arrived they apologized for being understaffed. We felt like the resort was more of a 3 or 4 stars. It looked nice but under the surface was lacking the 5 star qualifications. Last thing, it was difficult to get ahold of areas of the resort and the last day the number kept stating Verizon caller can not be reached. So we walked to the front lobby for requests. For the price of $2,800 for 3 nights we will take our money elsewhere moving forward but are grateful for the experience.

We stayed four nights while visiting the northeastern part of Puerto Rico and it was a lovely experience. The hotel is a ways off the highway and the grounds are beautiful and pristine. For our two teenage boys, they liked the pool better than the beach, however the pool is huge and offered plenty of space for volleyball & football in the pool. Be aware that food and drinks at the hotel are VERY expensive (think Disney pricing), however we knew we wouldn't be eating every meal at the resort, so just keep that in mind. Our favorite hotel meal was at Nectar and we did the rain forest hike to the natural waterslides (our boys' favorite activity of the whole trip). We also drove to nearby beaches - Playa Azul for boogie boarding and Luquillo for the food and kioks options by the back. We for sure would go back! Beautiful place!

Privacy, comfort, amenities, entertainment, excellent customer service.

Too expensive for only one night stay.

The property, room and staff were excellent! The resort was very quiet - there were always empty pool chairs and not a lot of people around. The property is huge with a beautiful pool and lobby, as well as large room. Everyone was very friendly! Two things you must know: 1) Do not go here if you are a beach person. The sand is rocky and water is not clear and sparkling like you may expect; the pool is the main attraction. 2) Do not go here if you care about the food. Despite the numerous options, the only thing we truly enjoyed was the omelette at breakfast. None of the lunch or dinner options (pool bar, Market, restaurants) were tasty. They were fine at best. After day one, we started going off property to eat. If you don’t care about the beach or food, I would absolutely recommend it for a relaxing, luxurious vacation!

We got stranded in San Juan and found this place to stay at the last minute. We had no idea what to expect. But it far exceeded anything we could have imagined. Staff were friendly and helpful, amenities were awesome, room was spectacular!

Angelo was amazing. Very communicative. I could tell he loved serving others. Thank you prime for having someone like Angelo there.

We had the best dinner at their steakhouse Prime 787! Our server Angelo took amazing care of us, he was super attentive and made the overall experience very special. We are already looking forward to coming back to 787 prime and having Angelo again!

The overall experience and the service was above and beyond The check in process was exceptional handled by Pamela Diaz, she made sure we were treated like royalty. The breakfast buffet is so great, there is everything you could imagine, they could use some new or better toasters. The pool area was comfortable and the pool extra clean.
