Omni San Diego Hotel at the Ballpark

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with my recent stay at your property. Unfortunately, the experience I encountered fell far below the standard of service expected from a hotel positioned within the AMEX Fine Hotels & Resorts /hotel collection. From the beginning, it was evident that the staff lacked both attentiveness and professionalism. Valet service was consistently unresponsive calls to retrieve our vehicle went unanswered, and notifications were ignored. To make matters worse, upon returning to Los Angeles, I discovered a valet team member’s jacket left in the trunk of my car. This raises serious concerns about how my vehicle was treated while in your care. Housekeeping service was equally disappointing. On the morning of checkout, staff entered our room without knocking an invasion of privacy that is simply unacceptable. To add to this, the on-duty manager was confrontational rather than solution-oriented when I attempted to address these issues. Altogether, this stay was a regrettable experience. I had selected your property with the intention of creating a memorable getaway for my wife, especially following her attendance at the Emmy Awards. Instead, it became one of the worst hotel experiences we have had. The lack of hospitality, disregard for guest privacy, and absence of basic customer service were unacceptable. Given this, I cannot see myself returning to any Omni property in the future. I strongly urge your leadership team to evaluate staff training, especially in customer service and hospitality standards, as these issues reflect systemic shortcomings rather than isolated incidents. Love this hotel, wonderful staff and location

Very nice room on the 10th floor overlooking the convention center. There is noise from the trains and light rail in the night; but I like the sound of trains. Convenient access to the ballpark was a hit for people staying at the hotel. Pool was nice with convenient seating around. Not as big as I thought but was le to get a nice little swim in. Friendly staff - greeting you as you enter and exit. Bar - restaurant had friendly staff and enjoyed the cheeseburger and fries.

I truly enjoyed my stay at The Omni in San Diego. The Service was friendly, the room was clean and comfortable and the food was excellent. The location is exceptional, within walking distance of lots of restaurants, the convention center, and the beautiful bay. I would highly recommend that you stay here.

Worst experience I’ve ever encountered , coming from sales & hospitality I would not recommend this place to anyone , staff was rude & unprofessional canceled my reservation within 25 min of arriving to the hotel. From the minute i arrived i felt belittled & rushed when trying to find a solution.

Omni - San Diego Room was nice. Comfortable Long line for valet check in, had to find keys for check out. Walking over Petco Bridge denied because my room key was not recognized by security. Had to walk around stadium. At restaurant was served by Oscar food allergy. I watched him note the allergy, yet still served. He originally denied he saw food on plate and defended chef. Left me humiliated and not feeling well. Needed epi pen. Spa was nice. Room too. Location overshadowed by construction. It was hit or miss. Either really well done or should have done better Jazz was excellent as a bellman and providing meal suggestions. Easy to work with and pleasant attitude. Seeing him aid in different capacities throughout Omni showed he is versatile in how he provides customer service expertly. He made a positive difference in my stay. I would come back from how he worked hard. Kristine also tried to make it better with the unpositive service from Oscar. I recall Hannah at front desk also being positive and wishing the stay had gone better Room was nice. Clean. Difficult finding space switches. Bridge access denied due to kry card looking d/ifferent.. Difficult walk for me. I didn't see all due to not feeling well with food allergy not bring honored. Would stay again in hopes to experience without allergy triggers.

Staff is very attentive

Stayed at the Omni for a short get a way and to take in a game at Petco Park. Perfect location and just a short drive to the Airport!!
