Location is good for a stop off the motorway. Sumptuous interiors.

Little worth seeing in the area nearby. Gardens small and rundown. Breakfast a bit mediocre with weird-tasting sausages

The hotel was pretty empty of guests and staff made no effort to put on lamps in the lounge, man the bar, light fires… it was lacking in warmth/ cosiness as a result.

We stayed here for two nights and were completely enchanted. The chateau is luxurious and feels like staying in a museum- without the fear of breaking anything! For such a glamorous hotel, we were pleasantly surprised by how dog-friendly it is. Built in 1320 as a monastery, it has been beautifully transformed into a luxurious hotel that feels warm, welcoming, and full of history. A very special place. And... there are magnificent huge forests nearby - perfect for running or long walks with our dog. The only things I missed were a roaring fire in the fireplace and a spot near the front door to brush the mud off my shoes after a walk or run.

Bed could have been softer. Would have loved even a small fire in the huge fire place.

We had a wonderful two-night stay with my husband and our dog. It was such a treat that our dog could stay with us without any additional cost. The hotel is super spacious and full of beautiful charm, and the beds were incredibly comfortable — we slept very well. The restaurant on the premises was excellent, and the staff throughout the hotel were truly amazing: warm, friendly, and attentive. We loved every part of our experience and will definitely be coming back

The breakfast was just what we needed to start our day. All fresh produce. If you required anything else to be freshly cooked such as scrambled eggs bacon they were happy to do so.
