Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Yakima

Seems that our placement was an afterthought which we didn't appreciate despite being a loyal Bonvoy member for over 20+ years with a gold status. They don't read your Bonvoy preferences and placed us in an ADA room. Shower spray doesn't stay in place, missing coffee pot in the coffee maker; bed mattress was sagging and bedsheets worn out. Also located not in the best part of town.

Restful sleep. Convenient area located across shopping.

Location was great.

The AC in guest rooms won't work unless there's active motion in the room making for a nightmarishly hot room during the night where I got zero sleep. I called the front desk during the night asking if there was a way to make the air stay on and they apologized saying no it's motion activated. I asked how it's possible to have motion in the room when people are trying to sleep and they just apologized again stating they get that complaint often. The room windows only open about an inch, which didn't help bring down the temps, but did let in bright light and interstate noise. Completely ruined night of sleep which in turn ruined my next day. A total nightmare and I would never stay here again unless the thermostats were replaced.

Very clean, and safe

The plumbing is very loud and noisy when other people open the water in their room. Annoying at night and early in the morning

Nice, clean, well equiped hotel. Nice employees.

The place was unique in that it was apartment style design. The dislike is that it’s deceiving that it looks like a regular style building and when we arrived It was an apartment style that needed upgrading.
