Super 8 by Wyndham Fairfield

I am obviously homosexual and when I arrived the man at the front desk looked at me like I was an alien from a different planet and made me feel VERY uncomfortable. He was very short and unpleasant at check in and when I asked for late check out due to my meeting being pushed back he refused and only gave me 30 extra minutes. I was staying in there most expensive suite as well. I have not been that judged or uncomfortable at a hotel in my life.

Clean and quite. Comfortable beds

This property currently shows 7.8 composite rating on hotels.com. I feel this is underrated and is actually deserving 8.4 or so. The local manager has worked hard to make improvements and it shows. Previously we've always used Americinn in Fairfield. I was expecting to not like this Super 8, but was pleasantly surprised at the professional management and update work. Now plan to stay here on future trips to Fairfield. The breakfast area rehab makes it look equivalent to what you'd expect at Country Inn or Hampton Inn. Good beds, excellent housekeeping. WiFi is metered to about 2.0 MBPS, but enough bandwidth to stream video. Wired Ethernet connection in our room was live and metered about the same. Convenient overflow parking area good for RVs, U-Haul trailers, etc. Very convenient to WalMart.

The property was clean and quiet.

Reasonably priced. Good base from which to get to downtown or other areas. Very friendly staff. Wish the owner would give the property a little TLC.

it was ok considering it was not a Mariott but a Super 8. The green plastic chairs in the dining room were awful. The black polyester bedspreads were atrocious. The staff was friendly however and the bathroom was clean. Should have non-skid bathtub surfaces however. I almost fell.
