"Never ever - Stay away Don't book this property."

Everything - I arrived early morning as I'm an international traveller. I walked to the hotel and requested luggage storage politely. Staff showed the policy of no luggage storage. Together we explored other options and the only one they could offer was to pay $70 for early checkin and $100 for deposit. I politely reminded them this was upsetting me and I would write a review of my experience to help other travellers before reserving. I left the property disappointed as no solution was provided. Next, I wrote a review and published it. When I arrived at 2pm to check in, I informed the staff I will wait as I wax early. The staff first said, they don't mind checking me in and then said, so what happened this morning, you were rude to my staff and said you will write a review. I replied I do not want to engage, all I wanted was to check in as id already paid and the staff said, he refuses to let me check in and I should go and do what I want. I asked for my full refund as I'd already paid in full, they replied, they didn't get my payment, I should take it from Booking. Com. When I asked for an invoice, they gave me a booking invoice with amount paid 0.00 and said I will get my money from Booking. Com. I was very upset by this behaviour and said, I would write and even stronger negative review and the staff said he didn't care and I said I felt sorry for them. Unkind words were exchanged at this point but the staff clearly didn't care about customer service, business or their responsibility towards guest.

I had a mixed experience at Kalika Hotel. While the hotel itself was decent for a short stay, there were serious issues with reservation handling during check-in. One of my prepaid rooms was not honored due to an internal booking mismatch, which caused inconvenience and disrupted our travel plans. I am still waiting for the refund for the undelivered room. Overall, the stay was okay, but the service and booking coordination need significant improvement.
