Econo Lodge Morristown West

I gave this location a three-star rating but would have liked to have made it 3.5 stars, comparing it to other lodging of its type: a somewhat bare-bones, budget lodging with a quiet & clean room and a friendly, helpful staff. It's a great value if you are just "passing through" or a short visit. We were in Morristown for a family event which didn't require us to spend much time in our room beyond sleeping at night. Our room was a smaller non-smoking room with a queen bed and we stayed two nights. This location is close to several restaurants as well as WalMart, Ingles, and Aldi. There are some things to take note of, in case they matter to you. - This is a two-story structure with no elevator (the desk clerk changed our room from the 2nd floor to the 1st when we checked in, probably when he noticed our age). Also, while there was no coffeemaker in the room, there is free fresh coffee in the lobby. They do offer a continental breakfast and that, too, is very simple with hi-carb offerings and no protein when we visited; they had hot & cold cereals, toast, bagels, donuts, diy pancakes, juice, milk, and coffee. If there was downside, it was the mattress. Even with a pillow-top, the mattress seemed a little on the hard & unforgiving side. While quite simple, it was clean, quiet, and met our needs & budget and we would consider staying there again if/when we are back to visit family in the area.

I dont like this hotel

My only complaint was the noisy air unit not to mention it didn't cool well at all other than that issue it was a great stay.

Nasty all three rooms had bed bugs. We had to wash all our clothing and bag before moving to another hotel.

My wife and I stayed in this motel in 2011 and were satisfied. This stay had disappointing breakfasts and poor maid service. However, after addressing the maid service issue, we were satisfied with the cleanliness of our rooms. There was no internet service.

Check in was quick and smooth. Very good customer service. Room includes microwave and refrigerator. Both clean. Old school tv, but many channels available. Large bath with large shower head with multiple water streams to choose from. When the water was shut off after shower, it made a very annoying high pitched squeal, but only lasted about 4 minutes. Bed was semi comfortable, but that's different for everyone. Linens were clean with no stains or burns. I was in a non smoking room, but they do provide smoking. Hotel surrounded by a residential area, but very quiet. Only issue I had was the smoke alarm started churping in the middle of the night. I called the front desk and they came and replaced the battery within 20 minutes. It's not a 5 star hotel, could use some updates, but for the price, it's great.

The room was very clean. The breakfast was just ok. It needed fresh fruit. There wasn't enough parking near entrances but were still plenty overall. The ice machine had a leak so they shut it off at night so there was no ice in mornings. Overall it was a good experience. The problems were minor ones. The fact that the room was clean and cleaned daily were the most important things to me.

Awful! Toilet was stopped up, located in no wheresville, and a very scary place!!! Very disappointed!

The hotel staff were pleasant and the room was clean. The accommodations were minimal, but for ~$50/day, who can complain?
