Candlelight Inn

We were "upgraded" to the Travelodge down the street, ostensibly because the Candlelight was full. Travelodge put us up in a room that smelled musty, did not have either a refrigerator or microwave (as promised during booking) in the room, and the room was not cleaned. The isolation between rooms is poor. It is located close to nice restaurants and Niagara, though.

What can I say about this run down Travelodge owned motel ... let's see ... no iron or ironing board , no phone , no pool , no bath towels , no garbage can in the sleeping area , hole in the wall where hydro was fed from ... T.V. was crazy to try to operate , front office doesn't open until 9 am , ( and that's a loose time ) . Honestly , I can say I've never stayed in a worse place in this country of ours . I can imagine it being a pretty good place about 60 years ago but rusting "I" beams outside the door and everywhere , loose broken stairs that a guest could possibly trip and fall on ...

If you want people to trust you and respect you as a serious business never advise customers to go to that motel. It is very dirty and run down. If I could I would ask for a full refund. I paid for three nights but checked out after the second night. This shack shouldn't be on any motel lists. On the day of check in we were greeted with the exterminator team!!!!

It was clean and everything worked.

Rooms and grounds were clean. Nothing fancy but large room was comfortable for our family of 5. No coffee machine in the room which is unusual and wasn't great. Fridge and Microwave in room. Wifi, water and AC worked great. Check in was slow and no one was around at 10:20 on a Sunday to check us out. I would definitely stay again.
