Hotel Campanile Leicester

The reception staff were pleasant and friendly. The room wasn't that great, cracked sink, hole in towel, broken curtain rail, mattress needed replacing as the springs in centre had seen their best (resulting in a slant to the void in the middle of the bed). Very noisy guests throughout the night and early morning. Located off a busy and car noisy road which didn't bother me (until passers by started shouting at each other at 5am) but may be an issue for other travellers. Staff were saving grace but not enough for me to stay again.

Beds were really the worst we have ever had. No sleep at all.

Very convenient for what me and my wife required at dat particular time.

I (and many people like me) use a CPAP machine in order to breath during the night. Unfortunately your hotels (including accessable rooms) do not have a power poinr near enough to the bed in order to plug in the machine. I arrived in the hotel in urgent need of a shower which I took, unfortunately I hadn't noticed that there were no towels what-so-ever in my room. I phoned reception and explained my discomfort but I had to wait for more than 10 minutes (dripping wet) for someone to arrive with the necessary towles. This is not good!

Comfortable, clean, great breakfast, couldn't have been any better! One telephone socket was hanging from the wall in my room but apart from that this hotel is good value for money.

Mattress terrible, I hardly slept. Not helped by a lack of choice of pillows. Rooms have thin walls so you can hear everything going on around you unless you have the TV on. The rest was okay.

Room 305 was next to busy road with noisy traffic all night. The was hand basin was very badly cracked. The changed their Wifi rules since my last visit - charge for 24 hours only 3 of which would have been practical to use. On check out the receptionist did not understand the problems. For example, when I mentioned the traffic noise she said residents had been asked not to bang car doors in the car park. I realised further complaints would not register!

Room was very warm staff were helpful and place was clean and convenient for the town centre
