Stage Neck Inn

The place to stay in York Harbor, Maine. I attended a company Christmas party. My very clean room had a view of the water, king size bed was the most comfortable, the tiled bathroom has a heat light that stays on and warms the room so when you get out of the shower you don’t feel the cold air. The fireplace has a remote control to change the color of the flame. Now for the food! The appetizers lollipop lamb chops were delicious as were the scallops wrapped in bacon! For dinner I had the salmon also very good. My room came with a complimentary breakfast which you have to eat! Best breakfast ever! Eggs Benedict, Eggs Benedict with sausage gravy (must have), hash browns with chorizo and bacon! In addition to other selections.

Beautiful hotel on the water with really attentive staff and a wonderful restaurant onsite. We stayed in a room overlooking the water with a fireplace and it was so cozy. Breakfast buffet is sooooo good-it is legendary.

Great location with stunning views. The staff were friendly and the accommodations were clean and modern. Breakfast was excellent.

Wonderful relaxing weekend! We chose a 3rd floor room with a view of the river. Fortunately, Stage Neck was offering a 15% off in November when we visited! We loved the hot tub after a day of visiting Freeport and Portland.

We have been going to Stage Neck for over forty years. It used to be our "getaway" place when the children were small. Now that they have families of their own, they join us. But this weekend we went alone...our time of quiet before the holidays. It's our happy place. Although we still miss Phoebe, the staff is fantastic. We especially enjoyed our server on Saturday evening, Jessica. What a wonderful addition to your great staff. The piano player on Sunday evening was amazing as always and we ALWAYS look forward to seeing Scott in the mornings. You won't find a better breakfast anywhere. We look forward to those eggs Benedict. We had our son's wedding rehearsal dinner there 15 years ago and our family members are still sharing great memories and some attendees are now claiming Stage Neck as their happy place. The housekeeping staff is the best we've experienced anywhere, including our world travels. The rooms are beautifully designed with a fireplace in each room. We always request either and ocean view or harbor view. With down comforters and "sleep on a cloud" mattresses, sleep comes easily. And towels are luxurious. (We know Stage Neck closes every winter to do maintenance and upgrades so we're hoping that the chair cushions, next to the tables in the rooms, get replaced. They have become uncomfortable and sink down to the wood frames. That's our only suggestion for improvement.)

My friend and I had a great girls weekend away at the Stage Neck Inn. There wasn't anything about the hotel that we can complain about. The staff were so helpful and attentive, especially during meals. The front desk staff gave us some great ideas for day trips and told us where to go and where not to go! Our room was updated and nicely appointed. Very much looking forward to returning!

4 of us had dinner at the Stage Neck Inn last night. It was very pricey for what you got. There was no salad included with the meal. No rolls/butter/ snack served prior to the meal. 2 of us had the rib eye steak for $47.00 per plate. The steak was fair at best. It was a little on the tough side. The flavor was good, mashed potatoes warm not hot. Our billl for 4 dinners and 4 sodas was almost $200.00. I feel that for what we got the bill was way over the top. 11-14-2025

We have over the past forty years stayed in many New England inns and hotels. Stage Neck is the best. We had a water facing room so that was one plus. The room was large, the bedding comfortable, the bathroom heated, a fire place, extra blankets, a wonderful on sight restaurant. We had an off season rate, and it was well worth the fare. We will be back.

We had a fabulous time at the Stage neck inn ! The location is just perfect! The views are spectacular! The staff are some of the best people I have ever encountered! They go out of their way to make sure your every need is met! I would highly recommend the inn to family and friends. Thank you all for making our stay so comfortable and welcoming! We will definitely be back very soon .

We absolutely loved our stay at the Stage Neck Inn! What a beautiful location with gorgeous oceanfront views. The staff was so warm and welcoming ~ Wendy is a great representative of the Inn! We plan to return and are already looking forward to our next trip!
