Location right by the beach is amazing!! I love a wild ocean beach and this is it. Entrance is a bit elevated so we saw whales and seals and otters. You can walk along the beach (it is rocky). My son surfed and it was good. Loved having electric car charging. Room was very clean and comfortable and well appointed. Front desk staff are always welcoming and fun to chat with. You could walk to a restaurant next door or across the road. They are pretty expensive for bar and grill type food (not associated with the hotel) but decent. Beds are comfy and room is big with fridge and microwave. Breakfast was croissants, packaged small pastries, bananas and coffee or you could make tea.
The indoor pool area could be decorated better to make it look nice. new more modern tables and chairs, cute pool decor etc. but it's fine. Kids would like it to go for a swim.
Price for electric charging was $10 and now it's gone up to $15 from the last time we visited a few months ago. Hopefully they don't raise it again or it becomes not worth it. Would be nice if it was just included in the hotel fee. I hate having to pay for extras!

The breakfast was not extensive but a proper start to a traveling day. The coffee was excellent!!! Delicious and strong enough to have wonderful flavor. We could toast up some croissants, too, or toast, and it was perfect to get us ready to see the nearby elephant seals.
