Four Seasons Resort Whistler

Please bear with me, it has taken me a long time to put this into words. I have been a regular at the Four Seasons Whistler for many years. My husband and I plus kids have grown up skiing here and found a home away from home at the Four Seasons. Like most other reviews, staff interaction is superb. In that aspect they have always been a cut above the rest. In addition to their quality, it's their service that really sets them apart. However, the loyalty simply isn't there. Despite, my many stays here, they always say that they will try their best to accomodate some things, and I have found over the years that this is more of a scripted response rather than actual follow through. Even next month, I will be staying for almost a week, and I was able to stay an extra night. But I will be required to stay in one room, then the next day move to another room. I called starting last year to try to remedy this potential problem. Then again, I called this past week, and now they are telling me to contact them right before I arrive to inquire. I am sorry to say but this really does seem like a stall tactic. They did this to me several years ago as well. But this Four Seasons location in particular just does not have the follow through that I have experienced in their other locations like Seattle, London, and Korea. I want to love the Four Seasons, but it's hard when you feel like there isn't a mutual loyalty like most other hotel brands demonstrate.

Our room was quiet and comfortable.

The food was very disappointing for the quality of the hotel.

The rooms were very comfortable and spacious for a family of 4. Everything was clean and well maintained. The room was quiet and definitely exceeded our expectations. We loved the pool and steam room.

From the moment we arrived we were greeted by the valet. They helped us with our luggage and escorted us to check i. the entire staff was friendly and made us feel very welcome. After just a couple days they knew us by our names. the grounds are beautiful and so well kept. Everything from the lobby, pool , spa and common areas are pristine. We will definitely be back!

Not sure anything could be better. if i had to choose something i would say to allow the use of bikes for longer than an hour. It doesn't give you enough time to explore.
