Hampton Inn Ithaca

Hampton Inns are typically a reasonable, clean, and easy place to stay over. Bed and room were clean and ready upon arrival. I checked in via my APP, suggest you get Hilton Honors App on your phone which you can use to "key" into your room and CHOOSE your room! That was kind of a fun feature! Stayed on the top floor (4) at the room on the end. Was quiet all night and little street traffic noise. The hotel overlooks the Waste Management landfill site. You can't smell it. But those lovely "hills" are not real "hills". Fridge in room worked really well! Though the shower pressure was not great and the shower could use to be gutted. Listen... its not the 4 Seasons....Its pretty basic! BUT there is breakfast... which I missed. But Connies Diner is 5 minutes away and it has great ratings! (although its closed on SUNDAYS!) So make sure to get up for breakfast! There is a shuttle that runs until I think 9 or 10. Worth checkin out if you plan to go to wineries. Staff that I interacted with was lovely and should I come this way again, I would stay there.

No safe in the room.

This has to have been the worst experience I’ve had with a Hampton Inn. Besides the ridiculous price, the noise from the street made it impossible to sleep. I turned on the AC hoping to drown out the street noise and that was worse. It didn’t stop until close to midnight and started again at 5:30. All four pillows were the exact same, no choice of firmness. The parking lot was so small that is wasn’t easy to maneuver in and they actually charged $3.87 to park there. The breakfast was subpar, the scrambled eggs were so salty I had to dump them which I never do. The offerings were almost gone even though there was an hour before breakfast would be over. Only one yogurt, no milk for cereal, biscuits were hard. The ladies were chatting away in the kitchen area when I pointed out the lack of milk. I will say that the room was spacious and very clean. Very disappointing. Find another place if you want to actually sleep.

The hotel was clean and convenient. We enjoyed our stay and used the swimming pool. The only problems we encountered were a broken door lock that was only sort-of repaired on our request and a clogged sink that water backed up into on our last day.
