Castle Waikīkī Shore

Spectacular location. Penthouse level (PH 4). Views to the east of Diamond Head and all of Waikiki from the kitchen and beautiful views to the west from the rest of the apartment and the lanai. Located adjacent to a park on the west, so no tall buildings in the way of the view. The lanai is a beautiful place to sit in the morning, but it gets some pretty strong sun in the afternoon. But the views are wonderful. If you have young kids, the beach and surf at Fort DeRussy park are safe. It gets a little rocky if you go out too far.

The bed. It's a "pseudo-king". Two twin beds held together by a king bed fitted sheet. The mattresses were comfortable, but the twin beds were on casters with brakes that didn't work, so if you sat up in bed to read at night or to have a cup of coffee in the morning, the bed rolled away from the wall, creating a large gap. It was kind of annoying and it's why I give this particular unit an 8/10. Other family members stayed in a similar unit on a lower floor (710) that had a full sized king bed and frame. Much nicer bed.

Location is amazing! We requested and were given an apartment on a high floor close to the water. Love having a laundry.

We were given two single beds. No sliding partition between living area and bedroom area. We have stayed in many apartments at Castle Shore in the past all having a sliding panel. A comfortable chair or two would have added to the comfort when the sofa is extended to make a bed.

Right on the beach. Cheaper units are usually floor 3-4 and trees are in the way to have any views. Great shave ice and steak plate downstairs on the beach. Waikiki is very walkable so you don’t need your rental car that day if you stay in Waikiki. Place was bright, clean and large. Kitchen was old but didn’t need it.

Pedestrians walk up and down the car entrance which is dsngerous and get angry when you honk at them. Something should be done.

Vue exceptionnelle et dégagée grâce à la présence du parc DeRussy au pied de l'immeuble. Le parking sous l'immeuble directement connecté par ascenseur. La présence de la plage au pied de l'immeuble.

L'impossibilité de réserver un stationnement lors de la réservation (c'est une source de stress surtout à Waikiki), l'impossibilité de réserver un grand lit double (je suis arrivé et j'avais deux lits simples séparés, j'ai eu de la chance, ça a pu être corrigé). Un point de détail mais qui est un irritant : la "délicatesse" du personnel qui s'est moqué de mon mauvais accent dans l'ascenseur devant des clients Américains : très déplacé à mon avis. Et enfin le gros point noir : depuis mon dernier séjour en 2018 l'accès à la plage de Waikiki par le bord de mer n'est plus possible, on est maintenant obligé de faire un détour par les rues commerçantes et l'intérieur de Waikiki. C'est plus long et beaucoup moins agréable. Un vrai point noir pour moi, je ne reviendrai plus pour cette raison.

11階のオーシャンビューで開放感が抜群。施設内の駐車場が空いていて、借りることができ便利。部屋も綺麗で、シャワーの水勢もまずまず。

小蝿の様な小さな虫がバスルームに塊でいた。壁が薄いのか隣室の声が響き、かなり気になる。

The best view in Honolulu in a quiet, beachfront location. The room was clean and fully equipped.
