Perfect close get away

We went for a family holiday trip. The castle was such a beautiful setting with attentive and kind staff; and the holiday decorations made the feel even more elegant. Gil and Dennis at the front desk were very helpful with a couple requests we had. Miguel, our dinner server, helped find/modify food choices for our dietary needs. Zena, our breakfast server, was personable and helpful. All of the staff were so helpful with snapping pictures for us. When we ate in the castle restaurant, the castle owner Gary stopped by all the tables to introduce himself and chat a bit. It is evident that his hospitality is carried on by his staff. The room was clean and elegant with a very comfy bed and beautiful bathroom. We are looking forward to returning in warmer weather to get more of the outside, blooming nature experience.

Very unique environment, friendly staff, excellent restaurant. We went on the tour of the castle, very informative. We had a very restful stay on the Gold Coast of Long Island. Several good restaurants in the area. Beautiful views from the estate which is the highest point on Long Island.

We enjoyed our your with Janice! Her enthusiasm and knowledge of the property and history was apparent. Very cool place to visit. The views are breathtaking. One of the hidden gems on Long Island that still remains. Would love to go back for lunch, dinner or one of their events.

As a group of 15 women who live locally we thoroughly enjoyed our tour given by a very knowledgeable docent. We especially enjoyed the background stories about the families who lived there and about the current residents and guests at the facility. we ended the day with a lovely lunch in the OHK restaurant on site. It was a lovely time had by all.

From the second you enter the courtyard of Oheka Castle , you are transported back in time to to old world gracious living .

Upon our arrival to the Castle we were met at the gate entrance by staff who radioed in that we were on the way. The valets were professional and courteous they immediately secured the keys and assisted us with our luggage. As we settled in we had lunch in the Charlie Chaplain dining room and a gentleman by the name of Gary Melius who happens to be the owner approached our table and introduced himself. What an honor to have met him. We had lunch and dinner on the property and both meals were prepared to perfection hats off to the chef and the wait staff. The living quarters was just like being in a fairy tale the rooms were cleaned to perfection and the beds were comfortable. The gardens are beautiful for the perfect wedding picture shoot. One of the staff members by the name Kelly was very hospitable and informative. It’s a Castle with an abundance of history attached to it. It’s a must stay and well recommended.

Was handy to dining and tourist sites. Sadly our second evening the hotel hosted a fundraiser. Noise kept us up til midnight and then had noise through the night as the event was cleaned up.
