Oheka Castle Hotel & Estate

This was at least the third time I've done the mansion tour and had lunch. I was with a friend who had never been to Oheka. To say she was impressed is an understatement - from the time you drive up, to the time you spend having lunch, this experience is awesome!

Beautiful estate for a wedding - inside and out. Wonderful food. Great rooms for events. . Hotel Rooms need a little updating - they look good but, as in all old estates, the little things go wrong and do not get fixed. On a sunny day the grounds are truly memorable.

Impeccable….5 star all the way! Grounds are meticulously kept and rooms spotless and detailed. The staff were both professional and warmly welcoming. Our dining experience was exemplary with a view and sunset that completed a perfect day! Definitely worth the price…we will return.

It's a beautiful property, walking around inside and outdoors was beautiful. However the room was not as advertised. We reserved a delux room.. which showed a view. It seemed like we got a standard room without even a window. We booked it for our wedding night, we let them know, however we couldn't even get a much of a late checkout. They also mentioned complimentary breakfast at check in, we show up within the time mentioned, but all that was complimentary was coffee. It was beautiful, but it was an underwhelming stay.

I've stayed @ Oheka numerous times. Always a fantastic experience. I usually go during the week (fits my budget) vs the weekends. I feel like a "king for a day". I go to the library to play the piano...while sipping on some Malbec...just a wonderful retreat for a country boy.

The staff is where Oheka shines. For the price point I would suggest updating the room amenities. Phones from the 90s and TVS from the 2010s really took away from the experience. Please incorporate an in room dining menu either digitally on your tvs or a hard copy on your coffee tables. Carrying drinks and food up and down 1 elevator in the middle of an in house event with a busy restaurant was not pleasant. We had a stroller and had a hard time finding an exit to the reception floor. We were informed prior to our stay that the grounds were going to be off limit as a wedding had already privatized. Understandable but we were still disappointed that there was not an area where other guests could go to enjoy the grounds. The property is wedding focused, gorgeous grounds but the rooms need a little TLC. Special mentions to the amazing staff for their hospitality. Lashawn and Dennis made check in and out seamless. Miquel and Jenny in the Restaurant for their friendly service. Jenny especially who was just off the clock, saw that we were lost and was kind enough to walk us to our destination. Hope to see Oheka again in the future.

Did the tour at Oheka Castle and it was wonderful. Very knowledgeable tour guide. Lots of historical facts about the original owners and how the new owner revitalized the castle after it fell into disrepair. Had lunch at the restaurant and it was delicious. A little bit expensive but worth it. Lovely place to spend a few hours at.

Oheka is a beautiful location. The room and staff were excellent. My criticisms are: 1) I think the food is a bit overpriced 2) At check-in, you are told there is a complimentary breakfast. This is false. There is a complimentary coffee and tea service in the morning from 7:30 to 10 am. They should not make such a misleading statement at check-in. Also, I've been to cheaper but still four-star hotels that DID offer actual complimentary breakfast. If they can, surely Oheka can.
