The hotel is tired and tatty, the public areas need serious attention, the rooms - carpets, furniture, even plug sockets just way below even budget hotel expectations in 2026

Beautiful old building with character

It is clean. The hotel is in a good location around 5-10 min away from the centre. The garden is maintained very well. It is very clean.

It is a dated hotel. It has its retro vibe. The WiFi is very slow, so extra WiFi extension is needed for the hotel. Not that we needed, but the hotel doesn't have air con. So in hot summer night i.e. more than 20-23 degree Celsius at night. It would be hard to sleep.

Excellent, great variety and high quality products.

Staff were excellent, always friendly and helpful. Food was varied and quality throughout.

Television in our room was a little small for total comfort.

It was very relaxed. Staff were nice. Food was nice. Although a bit shabby went with the age of the property but not in a bad way. We had a very nice evening meal in the bar area. Plenty of food choices for breakfast.

Floor boards did creak a lot. You could hear the people above us talking.
