The Thirst Goat bartender Curtis was very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive! Worth the stop to get a fabulous drink.

Some of the staff were less than helpful, I felt that the restaurant and bar staff were not well trained, at 4:30 pm they wouldn’t serve us because they were changing their lunch menu to dinner menu at 5:00pm at the bar we were the only guests and our son was not allowed to seat in, the sign posted at the door said no minors after 5:00pm, the room AC was very loud and the pool water chemicals were very harsh on our eyes, great architecture and the decor was very nicely done, the cleaning staff and front desk staff were very friendly and professional

The place is beautiful, but the mattresses sink horribly! We were hoping to get a good night sleep and it was impossible , They AC is fixed, we couldn’t adjust it to cooler temperature. The restaurant food is not savory at all! I ended ordering from the bakery the hot wings and those were good. Place is good for a day to explore, that was our experience!

Lajitas is a beautiful resort, with many activities to enjoy. The natural beauty surrounding the resort is awe inspiring.

Everything was great

Lobby was attractive and welcoming. Obviously needed repairs on outside. Paint peeling on ALL window seals,outside stairs were worn, repairs in room were unprofessionally done. Bugs in room.

Our stay was good, but it was very hot and hence it was their off-season. It was nice in that the place was quiet and peaceful. I loved the massage, and it was reasonably priced and included the tip. My husband loved the golf course. The grounds are also very nicely maintained. My only complaint was the fancier restaurant on property and their pricing. The prices are high to begin with but when we asked for more bread, we were not told that they would charge $11 for a very small loaf (the 1st loaf came with our meal). If they would’ve let us know that, we would not have asked for more bread as it was not worth $11. I asked if they had a side salad to order with my meal. The waiter said they did not but that they could split their salad entree on 2 plates for my husband and me. We were also not told that they would charge an additional $6 to put the same salad on 2 plates! I felt that charge was ridiculous being that we were already paying a hefty price for our 2 enteees and had ordered drinks. I would have appreciated being told of these additional charges.

Beautiful place! Romantic getaway!

Top choice! Had a wonderful 3 night stay here and it is perfectly located just outside of big Bend. The pool is lovely. The room ( we had room 301 in the Officers quarters overlooking the golf course. Lovely view. Nice patio. Nice room and bathroom with large shower. Comfy bed and good pillows. The Main Street is pretty. Grounds are well maintained. Thirsty goat pub does nice casual dining. Lovely staff member Christine was great. The concierge was fantastic. Helped us to book some great activities. Shawn could not do enough to help us. We booked a sunrise horse ride and John was OUTSTANDING. WHAT A GREAT GUY! Made us totally comfortable and great at sharing a funny stories and good local information. He also took us on the cowboy shoot. Again made us feel safe and secure. As brits we aren’t as confident with firearms but he could not have done a better job at showing us how to shoot safely but in a fun way with lots of historical knowledge. It was a wow moment for us. The restaurant is expensive but it was worth every penny. The food was simply fabulous. I had steak and my better half had fish. Both delicious. The pizza bakery was also fab. Great young man serving who again was so lovely. Try the tin roof ice cream! Best thing ever. Yes it’s not cheap but was worth the extra for a bit of luxury. PS don’t forget to meet the Mayor at the general store!

Beautiful interesting place. Love the heated pool. Only negative was limited hours at the restaurant
