"Just what I needed before cruising out of Boston"

10.0

I was taking a cruise out of Boston in June 2026 and wanted to come a day early just in case. With the World Cup in town, hotel prices were much higher than for my previous trips to Boston, so I looked for a cheaper option. Oasis Guest House popped up one day, and I booked it. It is just a few blocks from the Hynes Convention Center T stop on the Green Line. Coming from the airport, I could have taken the Logan Express to Back Bay or the T, and I ended up taking the T (pretty easy). Oasis Guest House is on a quiet street. I booked a single room with a shared bathroom down the hall. The room was very simple (bed, dresser, TV, window, place to hang a few things up, chair, lamp, fan), but it was all I needed. I was a little bit worried about the shared bathroom before my stay, but it worked out just fine. (It was open every time I needed it.) The shower was clean, and there were plenty of towels and toiletries. The greeting when I arrived was very friendly. The breakfast had a lot of choices (breads, pastries, hard-boiled eggs, cereal, fruit). It was very hot outside during my stay, but the air-conditioning plus the fan meant I stayed cool in the room and slept well. My room was on the second floor. Note that the stairs up are VERY steep and fairly narrow. From this place, I walked to Fenway Park, Prudential Center, and Boston Public Garden, and I took the T to explore historic Botson. There was a Wendy's just around the corner, a grocery store not far away, and lots of eating places within 15 minutes of walking. I really enjoyed my stay at Oasis Guest House and will plan on staying here on future trips to Boston.

"They attack you and you are not safe there. very bad experience."

1.0

I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. The management was not helpful, and my issue was not handled professionally. I was asked to leave the hotel without a reasonable solution, and I also had difficulties receiving my refund. The customer service and communication were far below my expectations. I was in house number 22 and room 24 on June 13. The reservationist came 30 minutes late and I was at the door and when one of the guests came, I entered but the reservationist was still not there. After 30 minutes when I called him, he came with a very bad tone and said that this is normal. After 2 hours of sleeping in my room, the room was so cold that I called the reception and they insulted me, spoke very badly to me and made fun of me. I called the police and after calling the police and the police came, they kicked me out of the hostel and did not return my money. They also wanted to attack me. All the videos are available. I called Booking and they have not done anything so far. Do not choose the hostel at all, you are not safe and it is very dirty and they treat you badly.

"terrible place to stay"

2.0

The people in this hostel are not trained at all. I called the police and to my disbelief, they kicked me out of the hostel. They didn't give me my money. They disrespected me and told me to call the manager the next day to get my money back. They still haven't given me my money. If you care about your personality, don't come here at all. You have no safety at all. They will suddenly attack you and make fun of you. They treat you with disrespect. It's not a good option at all and you have no safety.
