Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Circleville by IHG

The staff was great. Room was nice & clean, quiet during the early evening.

I was in room 109 the room directly above me must have had a young child because it sounded like someone was running accross their room for a long while the night I stayed & it really ruined any kind of quiet restful sleep I was hoping to get as I was traveling for work & on call.

Room was comfortable. Bathroom was nice, great shower.

Bed was lumpy or something.

The first room we were offered had a strong musty smell. We requested a different room & the staff was helpful with that. The second room was fine.

Feels like bought a run down hotel and slapped some new signage up. Dirty carpet everywhere, dirty walls in our room, mold in the shower, someone’s else’s leftover Chinese food in the microwave, urine stains around the toilet. I book Holiday Inn Express rooms with confidence that I’ll have a decent place to stay, this was the worst one I’ve ever been to.

Breakfast was above average for a hotel. The person servicing the front desk offered to move us to the third floor to be near our friends without us even asking.

The back door would not let us enter even with our key cards, so we had to walk around one time.

Odd smell but but everything else was good. The staff here were very very nice. Shoutout the night time desk clerk and the breakfast crew.

Room was clean, staff was nice but told us the wrong time for breakfast and we missed that, shower was dirty and had a lot of stains.

Put us in the wrong room. When we came back down and asked why we didn't get the King bed we had requested. They then moved us back down to our normal area we stay in. Next morning we went down for breakfast at 6am. Employee had not showed up, so all that was available was a few biscuits and gravy. No eggs. They finally did bring out sausage. Also, no coffee creamer was available. When we checked out we asked for a couple of waters which are normally complimentary. Not this time. They charged for them. The problem I had with this hotel is walking into our room it smelled like dirty mop water/urine. That put a bad taste in our mouths it is an easy problem to be fixed but seems like nothing smelled fresh and clean. Even the next morning my husband used the bathroom by the pool and said it also smelled that way I work in a hospital I know when they don’t change the water to clean rooms, it tends to smell this way which is gross! Just want to feel clean when paying $160 a night!
