Toberua Island Resort

Tranquility and friendliness of staff. Food was amazing! It was a beautiful, intimate, relaxing stay - just what our family needed. Great activities and amazing weather.

What a special place! The staff was wonderful, the excursions were amazing and Apeli and Maans made us feel so safe and they looked after our kids so well. The food was amazing, they even made us gluten free biscuits and bread. The burres were beautiful and tidies by the staff daily. The trip to the village was especially wonderful, many of the staff members live there and it was so sweet to see them interact with their families, and the people from the village were so fun and the women were especially sweet with the babies and kids! I'm not sure what was more beautiful the island or the people! Probably the people:) Thank you Toberua staff, for making our trip such a memorable and special time for our family! We can't wait to return!

The island is small and very prestigious. The facilities were comfortable and clean. The final BBQ was a lovely meal change and especially tasty. Outstanding was the Fijian staff. There is no question that the staff created an amazing atmosphere 👏. We are extremely thankful to all the people who connect with us, shared their culture, and their wisdom.

We would like to say that this feedback is given to positively assist the resort to improve and to understand what guests can experience differently. We have travelled to other places prior to our stay in Toberua. We certainly noticed differences in the variety and flexibility regarding the meal plans. Some places offer an afternoon tea area with home baked cakes and fresh fruit, juice, and the usual coffee and tea. It might be a thought to build this into the meal plan cost. We missed the sound of music 🎶 around the community/ bar area. Not loud music - just local background music. Whilst the resort offers great activities, not many are included. It just means everything is an additional cost. Is it really necessary to charge extra for water and drinks when out on a trip snorkelling? It might be a thought to include the drinks in the total of the day price. We believe the resort would truly benefit from anonymous and targeted customer surveys to help them improve their compatibility. However, we had a wonderful time and are grateful for the kindness and care provided during our stay.

Toilet smelled

Quiet island so very relaxing. Beautiful views of the ocean from the balcony. The staff were friendly. The weather wasn’t great for us but they try to put on as many activities as possible even in bad weather. Selection of wine was fab and really great prices. The spa was lovely and affordable. The highlight of my whole trip was going to the local village that Toberua put on for guests, it was fabulous.

The property is old, could do with some modernisation here and there. But the bures do have charm. The food was okay. Breakfast was the same every day so got a little monotonous.
