Liked the location. You can walk to several restaurants in Lee and you’re not far from other Berkshire attractions. The room was clean and Wi-Fi was good. We didn’t like that there were no amenities such as common space, good coffe in the room or view. We were placed in a room at the ground level in the back of the building looking out at the parking lot. The place did not feel like an inn but more like an Airbnb.

We stayed Sunday, 10/2/2022 to Wednesday 10/5/2022. The Chambery Inn is an old schoolhouse that was moved to its current location and transformed into a hotel. Each room is an old schoolroom complete with blackboards! This hotel may be the most charming place we have ever stayed at. Our room was large and well lit from the big windows. It is right in downtown Lee, Mass., but it was very quiet. The bed was firm and comfortable just like I want. At age 70, my wife and I liked the safe feeling of the downtown area. We actually met a police officer walking the streets. In 10 minutes of easy walking there are many restaurants and shops. Be sure to visit 'Joe's Cafe'. Sit at the old fashion counter and have an ice cream. For outdoor activities, visit October Mountain State Forest for hiking. The Norman Rockwell Museum is also nearby. Be aware there are no elevators. I had no problem getting up to the third floor. Overall, an A. We will go back.

This was our second stay at this Inn. We stayed there preCovid and found this stay delightful. The Inn was as described. We were thrilled to check in early after a long drive. The self check in was easy and had all the info we needed. Our room was large with a comfortable bed. Easy access to Tanglewood and amenities in downtown Lee. Thank you to our hosts for a wonderful stay.

Charming place. Very quiet and comfortable. I felt like I had the whole entire place to myself. The bed was comfortable. Furnished with good tasted. Loved the soaking tub! Breakfast was yummy. I would much rather support an unusual, unique place that has character and historical significance.

We arrived and checked ourselves in.there was no signage at the front to direct us to parking and the entrance that didn’t require stairs. Our “welcome “ letter gave instructions to fill out the breakfast menu and hang it on our door. that would have been fine, but no such menu was present. Our room was fine . We were there 3 nights. On the day following our arrival, we just happened to encounter a young employee taking out trash and we mentioned that we needed ate breakfast menu. That evening we had one. Breakfast was about the same quality we could get at a Marriott. No menu again on night #3. All in all, a disappointing stay. We would not recommend this Inn.

Our room at the Chambéry was a lovely mix of superb comfort with sophisticated and imaginative design. The inn's history is part of its charm, incorporating architectural details and photographs. The owner and staff were very gracious and welcoming.
