Emerson Inn By The Sea

The location was amazing and so was the staff I really liked the downstairs theater as well and the view by the ocean of course. But the breakfast choices were a little strange not much selection. The rooms were very small no water sprinkler for fire safety, no phone in the room, the bed was lopsided, and there were some stains on our towels and bedding. But overall We really did enjoy our stay and we would go there again.

Property is “ tired”. Old- 150 year old inn and trying for a 1920s style that is really stretching it. What food is offered is average or below. Old mattress- just adequate room- peeked off paint BuT lovely views. Would not go back but an ok stay. The proximity to ocean the calling card!

The terrace and the view

Despite the hotel not being full our room felt like the worst room in the hotel. It was tiny and the bathroom a cupboard. We arrived late and had to carry bags up 3 flights on stairs.

Lovely stay here. We plan to come back. Only one suggestion would be to have some sort of breakfast even if a light continental breakfast. Lovely staff. Beautiful property.

This was a last minute booking for a quick getaway. You can’t beat the view and the huge covered porch overlooking it. My biggest surprise was the Coffee and Breakfast!!! Far beyond my expectations. Will definitely come back.

Staff was very friendly. Someone helped us carry our luggage up the stairs, provided suggestions for restaurants and overall very hospitable!

Lovely to sit on deck overlooking green, pool and ocean. So relaxing, stately yet unpretentious. Wonderful breakfast served daily. Bed, pillows, comforter comfortable. Shower perfect. Would love to go back. Scenery is so priceless.

My room was so small that the bed filled the entire space. The bathroom shower needed repair.

The Emerson was a great place to get away from it all. With that, be aware that there is very little, if any, taxi, Uber, or Lyft access. Other than that, make sure you watch the moonrise as it is spectacular. The provided breakfast was very good and fresh.
