Emerson Inn By The Sea

The property was beautiful. Stunning location and beautiful space. Our room was small but comfy. Staff was very accommodating and went above and beyond.

Our bathroom door was broken, but super minor detail.

No elevator… really? They forgot to include one in the recent renovation.

The staff - Rod, in particular - were extremely warm, friendly and accommodating. Kimberly, in. modifying my reservation, as well, though I had no in-person experience.

I believe that this hotel - at which my family and I happen to have stayed, several years ago - is badly in need of updating and upgrading of its facilities. My room was quite chilly, and I had to turn the (ineffective) wall heating unit to 73° to get the room near-comforrabke - and sleep w/an extra blanket! Speaking of sleep, I had a great deal of difficulty with that, despite having taken a sleeping med. The mattress also seemed "archaic": too soft, and lumpy-bumpy. Finally, the Inn seems to have a problem generating and maintaining its hot-water supply, which is extremely slow to come on, and variable on e it does.

Location right on the coast, but an inn of older design so only half the rooms get an ocean view. Although an older property it offered a timeless charm and appeal. Staff were universally friendly and helpful. They are working out some kinks in their food service caused by consequences of the pandemic and not unique to this property. Our room had instant hot water in the shower.

No elevator. They were eager to carry luggage if asked, but the inn is only fully accessed using stairs.

Beautiful property and amazing staff. They were so kind to me and my husband as we planned our wedding near by and allowed us to take some beautiful first look photos. We will absolutely be back to visit these wonderful people. Thank you again!
