our stay was for 2 n - the staff not friendly & very inconvenient when we checked in & needed help with bags room on the 3rd floor - it was a big issue with the staff - no elevator & although ‘clean’ it was very damp inside the room & the ceiling was peeling Breakfast was terrible

Very nice when you drive up. Beautiful view. The younger staff and the Ukraine gal were outstanding. The lady with the gray hair, don’t know if she was staff or owner, was a bit condescending. She was too busy checking numbers upon check in and at breakfast. Breakfast is mediocre, one so called hot dish which consisted of a breaded ham and cheese sandwich prepared differently each day. Buffet style and they put out a specific amount for the morning, not cognizant that some guests go back for seconds, leaving NOTHING for the rest. Mosquitoes all over the food and juices. We won’t be back. Too expensive for what you get. For the $600+ a night, we expected better.

I went last night and had a wonderful time! The view is lovely, of course. But the service was wonderful and the food was delicious. The lobster appetizer and sliders were seasoned well and tasted fabulous. I noticed there weren’t any recent reviews…I know they have a new chef and owners and want everyone to come try! You won’t be disappointed!!

Everything was quiet, clean, really functional and we had such a seamless great time (family with small child). The staff helped me fix a stupid mistake I’d made in our reservation. Courteous, professional service well above the usual standard these days.

This quaint Victorian/old New England style inn was gorgeous. We chose a room that overlooked the ocean, and it was worth every penny - an absolutely stunning view. The room was small, but the space was optimized to be usable, comfortable, inviting, and elegant (blue and gold peacock wallpaper; thick, lush white bedding; air conditioning!). There wasn't quite enough room in the room for a coffee/tea maker, so each morning at the landings there were coffee, tea, and sweet bread choices. We had a delicious breakfast the first day: french croque monsieur. The second day we had to leave early to catch a whale watch tour, but the staff helped us grab what we could early (thank you!). You have to be able to take stairs, but that was part of the charm that we enjoyed. Parking was easy. Even my non-travel-loving husband loved this place. We will definitely be back.

The Emerson Inn is a wonderful mix of modern amenities and old world charm with excellent service. Our room had an amazing view of the ocean which could be seen from our king size bed. All you had to do was lift your head to see the sunrise each morning. Each day a beautiful and delicious breakfast was provided which could be enjoyed on the covered porch in the breezes or inside in the beautiful dining room. A dip in the salt water pool was a wonderful way to end our site seeing days. We will definitely return.
