Bathroom in room is very small

The room is big and comfortable. Staff is helpful. They do not speak English but they are willing to help. Location is OK. We could wake up early in the morning for a walk and the lake is clam. Restaurants to the left are OK but I guess they close at night. If gets dark early and we are unable to go further to check. The staff also did not tell us to go. I note that a lot of shops and restaurants at Towada are closed; a bit worry that this spot might be vanished later. The Towada lake is so beautiful in the morning. Share pictures taken around.

I am aware that room charge goes up a bit for maple leave season. However, I still have little expectation for paying around USD250 a night. I am a bit disappointed When we were told that there was no dinner after our long stay at Oirase. Even we are willing to pay, there is no breakfast because I have not booked in advance. The alternate is the canteen with microwave. We have to buy foods and de-freeze same. As to dinner, we have to take frozen foods. Fortunately, the small shop opened nearby and we could get some snack from that shop. We later found out the hotels to the other side of the lake is better facilitated. It looks that those hotels offer decent breakfast. My husband and I could only take bread and frozen foods from the vending machine. Fortunately, we found the restaurant to the left of the hotel at our last day and did try some foods at Towada. There is a free big bath room with this hotel. As we do not take public bath, it is of no use to us. I believe this hotel is good for self-driving traveller but not that good to us as self-planning travellers. This hotel recalls my experience with youth hostel except that the room is bigger with a nice view of Towada.

amazing location and view - the lake is right outside, beautiful fall colors in full view. the rooms are very large, clean and comfortable.

breakfast was disappointing, staff wasn't able to help with simple questions (I needed a plug adapter and asked where we could get something to eat in the area)
