The Westin Kierland Villas, Scottsdale

This was a perfect set up for a family vacation. We stayed 6 nights and were able to make breakfast and lunch in the room to save time and money on food. Sleeper sofa was great for our kids and it was nice to have a separate bedroom with privacy. You have access via a shuttle (you can also easily walk) to the main Westin resort. But for us, the pools and vibes at the villas were much better. We will be back.

Just returned from our second visit to this great property...and we'll return again! We reserved the smaller one bedroom unit, which is fine for the two of us. It overlooked the golf course and mountains in the distance. Both pools were heated and clean, however the 'recreation pool' closed at 7 pm. It should remain open until at least 9 pm, as after 7 pm families migrate to the 'relaxation pool', which is not very relaxing to those of us who are child-free. Ate at the poolside grille only once. No negative to them, but with Scottsdale offering hundreds of options, many of which have food and drink happy hours, we ventured off property alot. The expected food was fine, with the French Fries being excellent! Service provided by friendly Juan was excellent, as well. Two grocery stores are very close by and served by the villas shuttle, so we were able to cook breakfasts and some lunches in our unit. All in all another great trip to this well maintained property!

I am extremely disappointed with the experience at the Villas, particularly in contrast to the exceptional service we received at the main Westin Kierland Resort. Upon arrival, the front desk staff immediately set the tone by making it clear that my Marriott Titanium status held no significance at this property. This was surprising and disheartening, especially given the high standards I’ve come to expect from Marriott properties. Our check-in process was further marred by an unwelcoming warning about towel usage, emphasizing a $35 charge for using “too many.” We were then placed in a room with a view—unfortunately, of towel carts and a storage area. The patio, which we hoped would offer some peace, was instead filled with staff chatter, eliminating any sense of relaxation. When I requested a detailed receipt, the front desk staff informed me that they could not provide one. Rather than assisting further or directing me to someone who could help, the manager, Tina, simply echoed the same response. This lack of initiative and support was particularly frustrating. To make matters worse, while at the pool in 101-degree heat, a server walked past me multiple times without any acknowledgment, despite serving other guests in the same area. This experience has fallen far below the Marriott standard and has left a lasting negative impression. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as it reflects a clear need for improvements in both staff training and guest service.

Front desk staff was extremely rude. Went to have a romantic getaway for our anniversary and was blown away how we were treated by the staff that worked at the front counter. Rude looks, snyde remarks by underage over privileged employees that do not care what so ever about your stay.

We have owned at the resort for many years. We have enough options so our grandchildren come for a week and our daughter. Our grandchildren have formed great friendships with another family from NY. The parents have made special trips for adults at other places. This resort is the best we have stayed at. The front desk and valets are amazing. So friendly and accommodating. The valets who help you with luggage are so helpful. The resort is managed by John Rios who is so good to employees and guests. The food at the bar is first class for a resort like this. Tony Miller offers a wine tasting on mondays and wine dinners on wednesdays. The events are really fun, great wine and food, and Tony is unique in his knowledge of wine. This resort has a homey feeling with many people obviously enjoying it. It is walking distance to very good restaurants, shops etc. Try it out. You wont regret.

We have stayed at the Westin Kierland Villas many times, and it continues to maintain its standard of excellence. It begins at the Front Drive with a warm welcome from the Bellmen - Rob, Troy, and Scott, who are always eager to assist in any way. The Front Desk is professional, efficient, and helpful. Our villa was well-maintained, and if a need existed, the maintenance staff was prompt and thorough. The grounds continue to be a beautiful garden-like setting. The food in the restaurant is very good. We would like to recognize the bar staff - Dani, Devon, Sean, and Erica - for their service and for creating a fun environment. The servers - Juan, Joseph, Lexie, and others were very attentive to our needs. The pool staff (Spencer, Mike, Alison, et al.) kept us well-hydrated and comfortable. It is worth mentioning the addition of several new fun activities, stargazing, Bar Trivia, Owners' Reception, where we enjoyed beverages and snacks while mingling with Villa Leadership and other patrons, recreation pool activities, and several music events (Steel Drums was particularly enjoyable). We look forward to our return this fall. Thank you, Westin Villa staff!

I had the best time, the villas are an exceptional place to stay. I really enjoyed the pool and the staff is amazing. Shout out to Bellman Scott for helping me out with my grandkids and always having a smile on his face. I can’t wait for our next trip in December!

We stay at this property every February/March and are never disappointed. The location is somewhat secluded but convenient; the rooms are clean, comfortable and include kitchens; and the property is very well maintained. Best of all is the client service - all of the staff from the management team to bartenders to housekeeping are friendly and helpful. Better choice than a typical hotel room or a rental house. Highly recommended!
