620 - 1BDR Apartment close to V&A Waterfront

The apartment is beautifully furnished and very centrally located. Easy access to restaurants and shops.

The only real issues were: 1. That you cannot control the temperature of the air conditioning. This seems to be throughout the building - not only this unit. 2. There’s something very wrong with the bed. The bed base is damaged, causing the mattress to warp. You slide halfway out of the bed as you sleep. 3. No heaters for winter.

It was filthy, carpets were extremely dirty, cupboards full of grime and dirt and dust, couches dirty and dusty. Hygiene and cleanliness was awful

Location is good with secure underground parking.

The main bedroom AC does not work, it constantly blows hot air. We had to have maintenance come and look and they couldn’t fix it, they needed to call another technician but that never happened. After reading previous reviews it seems it’s an ongoing issue that the rental agency are aware of but do not seem to be resolving. Two of the kitchen cupboards are broken and need fixing. Unit has no bottle opener or scissors.

the location was great to go to a concert at the Cape Town Stadium. But that is the only thing that was good about this property.

There is no plug in the bedroom at the mirror (either of the two) to dry your hair. No dressing table or dressing table ledge. I had to dry my hair in the passage because you cannot get to the plugs behind the bed. The bed was SUPER uncomfortable and lumpy. Rock hard on the edges and soft in the centre so you slide to the centre of the bed. The pillows are old and lumpy or rock hard (we had one of each) and clearly has not been replaced in ages - they really need a new bed and new pillows. It smelt like strong detergent in the bedroom. I could not sleep at all. The bathroom is outdated, dark and dingy, there were no toilettries in the shower, and the liquid soap at the basin is cheap and the dispenser did not work properly. The shower rack for your toilettries is horrible as is the shower rose and taps (hot and cold - not a mixer). The tiles are dark and the bathroom smells. The mirror has tarnish around it and looks cheap and nasty. For the price you pay for this place it is Not Worth it and I will never ever recommend it to Anyone. The apartment has an old, Dark and outdated feel and smells of strong detergent and the bathroom stinks - just horrible.
