There’s a lot to like here, but this is closer to a 3.5 star review. The pool was nice along with the two jacuzzis at different temperatures. It’s super quiet and peaceful (no kids!). Every single staff member was very friendly and always willing to help. The room was clean and comfortable. You basically have 24/7 access to everything - pool, jacuzzis, etc. (as long as you’re quiet). You get a robe and slippers to wear the whole time. Not too many great food options nearby, but two grocery stores within 5 minutes and a cafe attached to another lodge just a block away. We honestly enjoyed our stay. However, for what you pay for a room I’d expect nicer. Our bathroom was missing a toilet paper holder. There was a ring screwed to the side of the cabinet, but no fixture. That’s a $10 and 5 minute fix. The only hook was attached crooked below the holes where the previous hook had fallen out. You can’t start the sauna on your own - a staff member has to use a vise-grip to turn it on. The lounges are kind of worn out. There’s a set of chairs near the sauna area that have huge tears in them. Our room had a private patio and the door was barely holding together - the hinges are failing so it doesn’t close right and the knob is being held on by scrap wood. The private tub didn’t heat at first and I think they had to go onto someone else’s private patio to fix it. The steps to get into the tub were pretty dirty. Also, the place is basically in the middle of a neighborhood. It’s a little weird. And people can and do get day passes so you really won’t have full access to most things. There’s also little things they could do to give it a more luxurious feel. You can get yogurt with the continental breakfast, but it’s Costco yogurt and you have to scoop it from the original container. If you’re going with discount yogurt maybe put it in a bowl? The bed pillows are super flat and there weren’t extras available. Some of the furniture is stained and looks like it doesn’t get deep cleaned very often. You can see wires running in lots of places where they should be covered by rocks or hidden. They actually have pretty large towels, but they’d run out and we didn’t get any. I know these are little things, but I think that’s what really justifies the expense.

We chose this resort because we wanted a quiet environment focused on rest, and it matched that expectation well. The spa and pool areas felt well cared for, and there were plenty of spaces to enjoy some peace without distractions. The setting in the desert added to the sense of calm, especially during quieter times of the day. This felt like a good option for travelers who value relaxation and simplicity rather than a busy resort experience. Overall, it was a comfortable stay centered around unwinding and slowing down.

We stopped here for a massage and soak — excellent massages from Lidia and Mariah, and we loved the covered tub for a warm soak after while it rained. Highly recommend!

This personal reset was long overdue, and I’m glad I had it here at The Spring Resort and Spa. What an amazingly relaxing experience. Everything from the room to the grounds to the facilities to the staff (special shout out to my masseuse, Dale) was glorious. Thank you for yet another great experience…

Quiet and relaxing with great spa

Villa needed maintenance, especially bathrooms and kitchen. Room with breakfast should have had more seating and some side tables.
