Absolutely amazing place, a pleasure to stay at. Adam was fantastic, friendly and engaging and his local knowledge helped us get the best of a winter trip. Will stay here again next time In Boston.

Charming bed and breakfast in renovated brownstone. Location is excellent: walking distance to almost everything. Only downside, we were on the 4th floor and the climb up to our room was brutal (we're old).

I am not long winded, this bed and breakfast was outstanding, it is in an original Boston brownstone. If you stay elsewhere then you have missed out on a wonderful experience.

Totally amazing, inviting, and luxurious. The room was very clean, the amenities easy to use and fun to live upper class for a night. Bathroom was spotless and contemporary and the logistics of the location are perfect. All the wonderful dining and shopping freedoms of Back Bay and Newbury St. If your staying in Boston for a night, a weekend, or a week, this place is perfect if within your budget. My girlfriend and I treated ourselves with our stay and it was even better than we could have imagined. Not to mention the hopility of our host!

The only issue I encountered was when first trying to get in. I didn’t receive the expected email for instructions on how to enter and didn’t get a response to my texts from the manager on-duty, so it probably took a good 15 minutes in front of the door before the off-duty manager was able to get me through. Awesomely, though, the off-duty manager stayed on the line with me until I was able to find my room. And what a room it was. Lovely fireplace, beautiful and comfortable bed, cozy chair and ottoman, spacious bathroom, and well-appointed throughout. I didn’t get to take advantage of the continental breakfast because I usually got up too late, but the Clarendon is so close to everything that I had every option I could imagine. The Clarendon, although tucked away within a beautiful brownstone on a sleepy street, is only 5-10 minutes away from great restaurants and bars, Copley Place, the Boston Public Library, and more. If I ever get to treat myself again to a “relax and recharge” vacation, I would absolutely stay at the Clarendon again.
